The maple tree is a beautiful symbol of autumn, change, transformation, and the fleeting beauty of life. Its leaves transition from green to brilliant shades of red, orange, and gold, reflecting the natural cycles of growth, letting go, and renewal.

Maple is deeply connected to fall traditions, cozy weather, and seasonal comfort.

Ultimately, the maple tree reminds us that change can be beautiful. 🍁

They bring light, color, and shape close to the face and eyes. In many ancient civilizations (like Egypt, Rome, and Greece), earrings showed wealth, rank, or nobility. Some cultures use ear piercing to mark life milestones, religious devotion, or coming-of-age ceremonies. Historically and today, different earring styles or placements can signal group identity, rebellion, or personal values.

For me, wearing earrings is the little gesture of care - a little detail to make yourself feel beautiful, in everyday life.

Meet Jiri Pokorny @pokornyjiri one of our long-time collaborators ✨

For years, Jiri has been teaching Crystal Pite’s repertoire within our program, and we are always happy to welcome him back to AFI.
He brings not only the repertoire itself, but also his experience and deep knowledge of the contemporary dance scene.

The group spent an inspiring week with him, exploring various contemporary dance exercises, practices, and creative approaches.

We’re excited to announce that he will be returning next year as well — one of the most highly anticipated international artists in our program! 🔥
