If you were blown away by the quality of the artwork at Sommwhere in Yemen, please know this is due to the beautiful generosity of Mikhail, the hard work and magic of Muhammad, and the rest of the phenomenal team at @sdgnyinc.

When @ateqah shared that we were doing an event for Yemen, @sdgnyinc offered to do all our printing -signs, storefront art, gallery, prints, and NFT displays (not to mention all the labor that went into installing!) - as a gift to Yemen. They even helped us brainstorm and bring to life many of the beautiful elements at the multisensorial space with @glitchedplant. To say we were overwhelmed by his kindness is an understatement. We spent a good amount of time crying 😭😭😭

A special shout-out goes to Muhammad who went above and beyond until the last minute. He had a great deal of patience with us and worked around the clock with us to help ensure each piece looked flawless in the venues. And to the staff that installed everything with so much passion and precision.

@sdgnyinc gave us the means to showcase Yemen's culture in the most visually stunning of ways, giving those who walked through our doors a sense of pride and hope for the country's future. For that, we are so deeply grateful. You made Sommwhere in Yemen feel like a dream!

Please say a special prayer for Mikhail, Muhammad, and the team who made it all possible!

Sommwhere in Yemen wouldn't have happened without @sommwhere. The name of the event took after theirs for a reason ❤

Fatima was the first person to give us the confidence and the push to dream big. If it weren’t for her encouragement, we would have organized a small private dinner and called it a day. @sommwhere believed in our vision and wanted this to happen just as much as we did.

From helping us workshop big ideas and small details, to standing by us through some brutal setbacks and even getting their hands dirty until thenlast strike, it felt like a dream to have @sommwhere as partners. To top it off, Fatima's touch was pure magic. She made sure mama was present in the space in the most beautiful and meaningful of ways, which made the entire journey feel like home.

Shoutout to Arisa who helped us workshop the space and was supportive during the planning process. The MVP goes to Tyler who went above and beyond. She kept us organized, was quick on her feet and gave us the energy to keep going when we were absolutely wiped. We don't know what we would have done without her!

We feel so honored to have had @sommwhere as partners. Thank you Faatz and Umber 😭 Partner doesn't seem fitting at all, you really became family.

We ask you to keep @sommwhere in your prayers. May they continue to be a space where noor shines. If you are looking to create a memorable experience, dinner or pop-up, do get in touch with them 🥰

Also, go have a meal or grab a coffee at their cafe at 15 essex! ☕
