After taking Re.Stance to New York and Toronto Fashion Week, we’re bringing the collective to Montréal for our next chapter.

An immersive fashion + art experience exploring what happens when materials reach the end of their “life” and what they can become instead.

Re.Stance brings together emerging designers, textile artists, makers and creatives, with a focus on creating space for BIPOC, queer and historically underrepresented voices within fashion and culture.

Expect experimental fashion, textile art installations, live movement performances, projections, artist talks, workshops, designers, makers + conversations around the future of sustainable fashion.

📣On y est arrivé!

Quand on a commencé, on s’est donné le but d’avoir au moins 10% des événements organisés par des jeunes (moins de 35 ans) pour s’assurer la représentation de la relève dans la Semaine Climat Montréal et son rôle central à l’action climatique.

Nous sommes tellement heureux.ses de vous dévoiler que nous avons atteint presque le triple de notre objectif avec 28% des événements portés par la jeunesse. Ceci n’aurait jamais été possible sans la jeune communauté montréalaise qui s’est mobilisée si rapidement.

📣We did it!

When we started out, we set a goal to have at least 10% of events organized by youth (less under 35), to ensure youth representation in Montréal Climate Week and their vital role in climate action.

We are so happy to share that we almost tripled our objective, with 28% of events youth-led. This would have never been possible without Montreal’s youth mobilizing so quickly.

Zine Publication

Not too long ago, this piece was accepted into the @solacene_ Zine edition on waterways and the ocean. We are water. Our cells are primarily made of water and our body and brain need it to survive.

Oceans and water are embodied.

It would be unfair to simplify our relationship to water as simply travel routes, sources of refreshment or hygiene, and it would be a disservice to reduce water to a commodified resource that we associate with leisure and entertainment.

Water is precious and majestic. I hope this piece reminds you all of the awe nature and water evokes in us all.
