day 22: easy morning walk. love walking honestly 👣

i normally start work at 9am so i have more than enough time to walk to the city, shower in the gym, and get changed before i head to the office. home is so close to the city so that’s easy (and a pretty good start to the day too 🏃) win-win.

A 2 km hike can feel harder than a 15 km one — which is why “moderate” doesn’t always tell you the whole story. 😂🥾

After sharing our Easy Hikes Around Perth, we’re stepping it up a little.

But first, follow @wandermacandcessy for realistic WA hikes, road trips & outdoor adventures for your days off.

These are 7 moderate hikes around Perth we’d pick when we want a proper hike and a bit of a workout — without committing to one of those days where our legs hate us afterwards. 😂👇

📍 Planning Possum Loop? It requires a booking, so check AWC for current access before heading out.

And this is exactly why we didn’t want to just slap “moderate” on each one and leave it there.

Some are short but steep. Some have rockier footing. Some are trickier to follow. And Kitty’s Gorge is mostly just asking whether your legs are happy to keep going for 15+ km. 😂

So we’ve added what to expect for each trail to give you a better idea of where the challenge actually comes from.

Just a little disclaimer: we’ve grouped these based on how they felt to us rather than going purely off the official trail grades. Everyone’s version of “moderate” is different 😂 so always check the current trail information and conditions before heading out.

🌿 A little reminder: Please help us keep these places beautiful — stick to marked trails, take everything you bring with you and leave no trace. If you’re bringing your dog, always check the current access rules first.

🐶 Dog-friendly: The trails marked above allow dogs on leash, and Dollar has loved doing these with us. We keep him leashed anyway — snakes, lizards and other wildlife can appear very quickly, and it helps protect the wildlife too. And of course, bring bags and pick up after them. 💩

It’s been a few weeks over a year since I first met @aidyboy27 and if you’re unfamiliar with how first encounter then you probably won’t know that we weren’t exactly the biggest fans of each other 😂 story for another day…

fast forward a year and I can tell you that this past year wouldn’t have been the same without him and if im being honest, there’s a lot of moments that I probably wouldn’t have gotten through as well with if he hadn’t been there.

There’s the saying of “nobody is coming to save you” which leads people to believe that you have to do everything yourself. And as a hyper independent wahine who grew up wanting to do everything herself to prove a point I could, Aidan is a constant reminder to me that I dont have to do everything myself and that if I do need saving, he is actually there to do so 🫶🏽

Golf has brought me some amazing opportunities for sure, but golf has also brought me people who I never knew I needed and who will always be there for me when I need it 🤍

So, this is your reminder that even though you don’t think you need anyone, we all know deep down we appreciate having the support there 🙏🏽🤍 because golf does get lonely and it can be hard at times. And it’s always easier when you know you’re not alone xx

earlier this year, i had a mole removed. it appeared about a year & a half after having my daughter. it was dark and it continued to change for another 2 years after appearing promptly on my left forehead.

after biopsy, it was deemed by 2 derms as severe atypia which is the designation before melanoma.

as someone who wears sunscreen & tells you to wear it too, covers up, and doesn’t spend a lot of time outside, i was disappointed this “happened to me”. but the point is, it can happen to anyone. even if you do all the right things.

the uv index is high, sunscreen isn’t enough when spending prolonged periods outside. not to mention, i was also in a hormone flux state (high estrogen) due to pregnancy & postpartum. lots of factors at play.

the point here is #skinchecksareimportant so get yours! 💗 #skinchecks

Day out to Portarlington over the weekend. Beautiful spring weather. Plenty of fishermen along the pier, young and old alike.

As we got there, young kids were thrilled they caught a pinkie. Spoke to another bloke, who caught a 60cm snapper earlier in the day.

We mainly came to get some fresh mussels from @mrmusselportarlington. $8 a kilo. We bought 5kgs, which comes with their chiller bag and some ice.

Also, remember to slip, slop, slap. Aussie sun is brutal. I love my UV hat. I'll make another video soon about it more.

DUBAI HABIBI! Thank you @beautyworlddxb for a great week. I’m honored to have been selected as one of the keynote speakers for the show to share my perspective on the evolving male consumer and why I started @theboysinbeauty.

@rituupadhyay @wwd you were phenomenal guiding the whole experience from fireside planning to driving the conversation on stage. It was also great seeing and smelling so many new fragrances and also discovering other beauty brands throughout the show. I definitely want to come back next year.

I also got to go to the awards ceremony as a guest of @duellberg.konzentra and that team really knows how to have a fabulous time. Thank you Mahdi! And I attended the @beautymatterofficial Global Beauty VIP dinner and met many fabulous people like @vimijoshi.

Then in conclusion… swipe to the last slides to see the best desert excursion with team BeautyMatter! 🐪🧴I was in shock when I sat on the camel’s back as it was kind of soft and squishy! The heat was intense and I packed 4 SPFs and changed into my @solbari UPF shirt after the first 15 minutes. Ha!

Everyone needs that one person.

The person who sees what you’re capable of when you can’t see it yourself.

The person who doesn’t let you quit on the days you’re exhausted, discouraged, or convinced you have nothing left to give.

For me, that person is Alex.

He’s stood beside me through some of the hardest seasons of my life. Through the moments when my health made me question what my body was capable of, and the days when simply moving forward felt like too much.

He never made me feel like I was broken.

He reminded me that I was still me.

He knows when to push me.
He knows when to slow me down.
And somehow, he knows when I need to hear, “You can do this,” even before I’m ready to believe it.

I can honestly say I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.

But maybe your “person” isn’t your husband or wife.

Maybe it’s your best friend. Your parent. Your sibling. Your child. Someone who showed up at exactly the right time and refused to let you forget who you are.

If you have that person, tell them.

Because life gets busy. Seasons change. And sometimes we don’t realize how much someone has carried with us until we stop long enough to look back.

And if you’re still waiting for your person—or you’re walking through a season that feels impossible right now—

don’t give up.

Your story isn’t over.

Sometimes you just need someone to believe in you long enough for you to believe in yourself again. 🤍

Going back to basics in golf after playing for 3 years and getting to single digits is probably the most humbling thing I’ve come across since starting golf. Like yeah, don’t get me wrong, golf itself humbles yo ass but if you’re just starting out in golf, I don’t want you to ever assume that people who you think are “really good” don’t have struggles just like you 👀

Because everyone be struggling. And I know that as a beginner it can be hard seeing people who make contact with the ball “consistently” in your eyes getting mad about a shot can be annoying cos you’re like “I’d love to have that as a miss”, just know that even when you get better, golf does actually stay HARD 🫠 you just have the ability to make contact with the ball a bit more.

I’ve played golf for 3 years, coming up 4. And idk what it is, but every level of golf ive been at, has been painful. It’s just different levels of pain 🙃🤦🏽‍♀️

So if you’re someone who’s seeing someone else’s swing and you’re thinking “they’ve gotten better overnight”, chances are they haven’t. And I can vouch for the fact that the only reason I got to where I am rn is because I put in a lot of hours (I’m talking swinging clubs every day for the first 2 years) and going through the 💩

Golf is not an overnight thing. Golf is not easy. But personally that’s why I love it. Because it’s something you can clock 🕰️

So if you’re out there trying to improve, fckn good on you oi!!! Praise yourself because a lot of people won’t, and then they’ll whinge about it.

If you don’t train, you can’t complain! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
