Are you a morning yogi or an evening yogi? My perfect morning consists of a 6am yoga sculpt, followed by seasonal coffee, and a walk on the 606! Trust me, it’s hard to get up so early when it’s still dark out. But I love having my morning movement done by 9am ☀️

I’ve spent the week recuperating from the joy and overwhelm that came with finishing @latinasweatproject 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, but I figure now is a good a time as any to share: I, along with my cohort, have graduated! A truly transformative journey in ways that are hard to put into words, but I’ll do my best to try.

It was more than showing up weekly for lecture and hands-on learning: it was building consistency, community, and structure.

It was more than community building: it was feeling deeply rooted in my culture, something I had been craving for so long.

It was more than a liberation-centered curriculum: it was, in real time, seeing how much a space where diversity is truly valued and welcome is needed. A sanctuary on the corner of Morgan and 16th for many.

It was trusting my instructors and classmates when I was in a bad mood and mentally checked out (thank you, @savasana.sav for a coffee that saved my day!).

It was 5am classes with @chimom0207 reminding me that I was almost done when I wanted to give up, flowing with @flow.lift.balance on my birthday, and @ruth.delwiche delivering the message of self-care at my 60th class (which I absolutely took to heart).

This was a hard process mentally, emotionally, and physically, but damn has it been rewarding. @mquino4, thank you for what you have created at Latina Sweat Project. Thank you for seeing the potential in me, and for creating the pathway for me to fulfill a dream I first had 13 years ago.

Can’t wait to meet you all on your mat!

These last four months have been so transformative! I am grateful to the @latinasweatproject for giving me and my cohort this opportunity to become leaders within our communities and todo so upholding our culture. More than community, I have found family 🫶🏼 I love you all and I’m so proud of us!!! I’m excited for the next step in our jouney together! See you all on the mat 🪷

Typical Tuesday as a YTTer completing classes 48, 49, and 50! Swipe through for my evening at @latinasweatproject.

Had to make sure I had everything I needed to get me through the evening.

I’ve loved using my @garmin Lily 2 to track all my workouts.

So excited to see my classmates lead their class!
