The kind of work I want to make more of.

The kind where I’m invited into someone’s life, even for just a little while.

Not just for the polished moments, but for the rhythm of a place. Children barefoot on familiar grass. The smell of a bonfire weaving its way into a core memory. The little details that make a life feel like itself.

I want more of this. I want all of this.

Longer sessions. Beautiful, meaningful places. Families and artists and creative people. Homes, farms, gardens, coastlines, old houses, new places. The places that hold a little piece of who we are.

I want to travel with my camera and be invited to witness people inside their lives, wherever those lives happen to unfold.

To make photographs that feel less like a record of a day, and more like having been there.

That’s the work I want to make more of.

My book club decamped from the city for 48 hours of eating and antiquing in PEC and I, naturally, made an itinerary of a few of my favourite spots

Citizen Frances for coffee and breakfast sandwiches
The Royal for lunch (don’t skip dessert, the pastry chef is amazing)
Theia for dinner (also another can’t miss dessert)

Sunday: repeat Citizen Frances or The Royal for brunch on your way out of town

A DECADE OF EL REY 🥳 10 years in Kensington Market, the neighbourhood we’re lucky to call home.
