Opening Day Tog!

The group fished hard and we hit a bunch of drops deploying jigs and rigs, greens and whites. Pretty good life , a bunch of short togs, some keeper sea bass to 19 + inches and a few plump keepers.

Will only get better as the water cools down.

Thanks for fishing hard guys!

Limited availability for the fall: Some dates left for Togs.

⚡ Out with the old, in with the lithium. ⚡

Just wrapped up a battery swap on Brian Coombs’ 23 Pathfinder bay boat with Get Tight Sportfishing, ripping out the old deep cycle lead-acid dinosaurs and dropping in Solid State Marine lithium. This boat’s headed down to South Florida in a few months, and it’s going to be ready to rip.

Why lithium?
🔋 Way lighter, shave serious weight off the stern and get the boat sitting right
🔋 Steady, full power until the battery’s actually empty, no slow fade as it drains
🔋 Run the trolling motor, livewell, electronics, and the stereo all day without sweating it
🔋 Faster charging and a lifespan that blows away traditional batteries
🔋 No maintenance, no corrosion, no watering

Fewer battery headaches, more time on the water. That’s the whole point, right?

Thinking about a lithium upgrade for your boat? Hit us up at Ravosa Marine Services, we’ll get you sorted before the season starts. 🎣

The CCA FL STAR Tournament Banquet was a success last night. Thor Person was one of 12 youth anglers to win a share of over $150,000 in scholarships! The $5,000 scholarship he won was made possible by the funds raised from the Drum Spots Lots-A-Spots Tournament, presented by Gulf States Automation, a CCA FL Event. Thor also won the most fish caught division with 1,248 catch entries! Congrats, Thor!

Thank you to all the sponsors who helped make this tournament possible!

🔋 THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE!! 💪🎣

Tog season puts our trolling motor to work, and this @solidstatemarine 36V closed-cell lithium battery has been an absolute POWERHOUSE aboard BragaBoutIt Charters!

Holding the boat on our spots through wind and current all day, without skipping a beat. Check out today’s before-and-after readings:

⚡ Started the morning: 100%
⚡ Finished the day: 94%

A full day of tautog fishing and the battery monitor showed just a 6% drop! That’s the kind of performance that lets me focus on putting clients on fish instead of worrying about battery life.

I’ve gone through two other 36V lithium batteries that shit the bed after a season or two. This one has been another animal. Lightweight, serious power, and reliability I can count on day after day. It also freed up the space taken by my old-old three-battery setup—three 12V deep cycles weighing over 200 pounds combined!

When you run charters, your equipment has to show up ready to work. This battery has earned my trust. If you’re looking to upgrade your trolling motor setup, give Solid State Marine a look. 🔋🔥

Captain Matt’s Beavertail is absolutely LOADED. 🔥

Had a chance to check out his skiff and chat with him at the Cast & Draft skiff show.

Dynamic Marine carbon fiber casting platform, custom EVA-style decking, a clean white Yamaha 70, and even spotted a Solid State Marine battery tucked away. This rig has some serious attention to detail.

Matt, what else am I missing on this build? 👀

🌊 Everything between the tides.

Al conquered the picky Stripers! Al is an experienced fisherman in both fresh and saltwater. He came to fish with us from Savannah, Ga just wanting a fun day on the water. Even though we had to work for them, Al had blast. He’s already figuring out a northeast vacation plan to come see us again next year. Such a fun guy to fish with!

Giant type of day for Mike 🤯. He’s a very experienced fly fisherman from Vermont. He spends most of the year with his 4wt in freshwater but he dabbles in salt. Today wasn’t a crazy numbers day but to get a high 40 inch fish and then an official 50 inch fish right after will be a memory that he’ll have forever. He has committed to taking the road trip again next year and we can’t wait!
