Dear Family and Friends,
My treasured eldest son Solomon has been called to serve a two year full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was called to serve in the France Paris North Mission. The mission covers the northern half of France, Luxembourg and southern Belgium.

He will be delivering a “farewell” address during our weekly Sacrament Meeting. He will also be accompanying the congregation on the organ, an instrument he recently learned to play just for this occasion, foot pedals and all (…we will all bear with him as we sing along! 😆 He’s trying…).

Solomon, Joe and I warmly invite you to join us in person for our one-hour Sacrament Meeting. There will be singalong congregational hymns chosen by Solomon from our beloved hymn book, prayers offered by Solomon’s little brothers Charles and Christopher, Sacrament blessings offered by Simon and the priests, with the Sacramental bread and water emblems being administered to the congregation by Charles and the deacons.

Then, in addition to Solomon’s talk, Simon will also speak, and Joe or I will give a short talk. Our sweet bishop and cherished mentor of Solomon’s, Bishop Richard Morrell will be presiding over the meeting.

Solomon will share personal experiences from throughout his lifetime which have shaped his faith. He will tell about people both in and out of our faith who have inspired his decision to devote himself to two full years of service to God’s children.

Whether you join in person or via Zoom, or are simply with us “in spirit”, we love you. We appreciate your support of Solomon and our family.

Bien cordialement,
Kim Barnard
