Part 3 of Amber & Cale’s Donegal wedding story 🇮🇪❤️✨

Six months on, Amber had one big piece of advice for couples planning their own wedding: make sure you actually get to enjoy it. 💍

Having both experienced bigger weddings before, Amber and Cale wanted this day to feel completely different.

No huge production. No spending the day worrying about everybody else. No endless timetable of things they had to do. 🤍

Instead, they kept their ceremony personal, intimate and centred around the two of them, while everything happening around them was taken care of.

As Amber said, “We were able to spend the day focused on ourselves.” 🥹

And after a legal ceremony at The Rusty Mackerel, a Celtic Handfasting at Sliabh Liag and a day with almost no stress whatsoever… there was really only one thing left to do. 🍺😂

“And now we need a beer!”

A lovely way to finish our catch-up with Amber & Cale. 🇮🇪☘️

Part 2 of Amber & Cale’s Donegal wedding story 🇮🇪❤️✨

When they travelled from Colorado to get married in Donegal, they didn’t want a day spent rushing from one thing to the next. 🌿

They had breakfast, got ready in their own time, and simply let the day unfold. ☕️💍

No pressure. No noise. No big production. Just the two of them celebrating their love. 🥹☘️

As Amber put it: “There was no stress at all. We just got to show up and enjoy the day together.” ❤️

From Colorado to Donegal 🇺🇸🇮🇪

For Cale, choosing to be legally married in Ireland meant something much deeper than simply choosing a beautiful destination.

With his family roots stretching back to Ireland, returning here to marry Amber felt like bringing the story full circle. ❤️

Their ceremony took place upstairs at The Rusty Mackerel in Teelin, followed by a Celtic Handfasting at the incredible Sliabh Liag cliffs.

And somehow, on a March day in Donegal, they were treated to sunshine, warmth and barely a breath of wind. ☀️

Six months later, Amber and Cale returned to Ireland and sat down with Lorraine to look back on a day none of them will forget.

Part 1 of our catch-up with Amber & Cale. Part 2 tomorrow! 🎥

You’ve seen the cliffs - now here’s where Amber & Cale officially became husband and wife. 💍🍻

Before travelling to Sliabh Liag for their Celtic Handfasting, they began their wedding day in the warmth of The Rusty Mackerel pub.

Delivered by Rev. Lorraine, their ceremony included a candle lit in memory of loved ones, heartfelt readings, their vows and the exchange of rings - followed by the moment they had travelled to Ireland for:

“I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs.” ✨

A warm, personal beginning to a truly unforgettable Donegal wedding day. 💛

Imagine calling this your office for the day… ⛰️💛

Set against the incredible scenery of Sliabh Liag, Co. Donegal, Amber & Cale’s ceremony was every bit as warm, joyful and personal as its surroundings.

Married by Rev. Lorraine, their day was filled with laughter, colour and some truly unforgettable views. 💍✨

A beautiful glimpse of where the work of a celebrant can take you!

We often talk about the skills behind a meaningful ceremony - but reviews like this show what couples remember most: how you made them feel. 💛

Amber & Cale came all the way from the US to be married in Ireland by our own Rev. Lorraine, and their lovely words capture what celebrancy should look like: warmth, care, personality and genuine connection. 🥹

The ceremony is just the part everyone sees.. 🤍

The photos, the words, the moment itself.

But the real marriage is everything that comes after it. 🥹

The ordinary days, the quiet routines, the choosing each other again and again.

That’s the part that means the most. 💫✨

Back where it all began… 🍀✨

Before the cliffs, Amber & Cale’s day started in the warmth of the @TheRustyMackerel 🧡

Tucked away in the heart of Donegal, they shared their legal signing and the first part of their ceremony here. 🥹

This moment set the tone of the day perfectly - cosy, personal, and full of character - before the adventure carried on up to Sliabh Liag! ⛰️

Two completely different settings, one beautiful story. Amber & Cale, what a day it was. Thank you from all of us! 🤩💛

When dreams turn into reality… ✨

Amber & Cale travelled all the way from Colorado to Ireland to begin their forever — and what a journey it has been 🇮🇪💛

Their day began in the heart of Donegal at the iconic @TheRustyMackerel, where they shared their legal signing and the first half of their ceremony — intimate, meaningful, and filled with emotion.

Then… we climbed higher ⛰️

At the breathtaking @SliabhLiagCliffExperience, surrounded by wild Atlantic beauty, they completed their ceremony with a deeply symbolic handfasting — windswept, powerful, and unforgettable.

As the sun began to fall, the celebrations continued back at the Rusty Mackerel with an evening full of food, laughter, and pure joy 🥂

What a day. What a love story.

A truly magical experience for Rev. Lorraine (@celebrantireland) to be part of — the kind of ceremony you never forget.

Amber & Cale, we wish you both safe travels as you head home, with your final stop in Belfast City 🧡 May the memories of Ireland stay with you forever.

Massive thanks to Mary from @SliabhLiagCliffExperience 🥰🥰🥰

From Colorado to Donegal — this is what love looks like 🌍✨
