Some weddings feel like they belong to the land they happen on.

new year’s dayyy whatta time 🥲🌁 cozy gray skies, small break in the storm, & excellent energy. i may be newer at djing but i truly fall in love again nearly every time, which continues to catch me off guard & make me feel so grateful.

there is so much heavy shit going down both on this planet and for many people personally. for 2026, my wish is that we all feel nourished and inspired by whatever creative/relaxing outlet is calling. i wish that we find ways to balance the reality of heaviness with music, art, and community.

🏆IT’S A NEW DAY / BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS🏆

A true institution of SF culture and a legendary party that we’ve had the honor of being a part of in a variety of ways over the years. But when the big dog @djm3sf told us that he’s planning a new stage and wants us to be involved, we knew this one was gonna be extra special…

What resulted was a beautiful collab featuring the impeccable lineup curation prowess of @greengorillalounge, our largest sound deployment yet and us building our first go at a satellite “Vacation” stage with a vibrant night mode thanks to the quality lighting equipment and skills of @itslizcreative and the next level Vacation sign that was custom made for us by @henryfrawleyfulcher and @stevennewmanart just in time for NYD. Not to mention the EPIC florals by @solrisecollective 📈

All in all it was a lot of work but well worth it considering how well everything turned out and the high vibes provided by all the dancers who braved the rain and showed up with contagious energy. The rain always adds an extra layer of complexity but it also creates some of the best memories.

Huge shout out to everyone who played and brought the irresistable vibes throughout the day. It was an honor to have 2 legends in @therealeddiec and @nick._.the._.record purifying our ears as well as the local heroes that we love: @djm3sf , @anthonymansfield , @mr.matiast , @goodquestionsound and @andmore.___ 🤌🏽

Massive thanks to our community and friends who volunteered their time to make this all come together, in the rain nonetheless. Beyond grateful for @tallmaninavan helping with the pre build prep and transportation as well as some extremely resourceful thinking that fixed what could have been a disastrous tent issue. As always, our trusted sound daddy @goodquestionsound had the stage sounding pristine for which we are always impressed and appreciative. Big ups to @manta_paul for a beautiful sound partnership and recording so many great videos of the day 🙏🏽

But most of all, big gratitude and appreciation to @djm3sf for giving us the trust and creative freedom to add our flair to this legendary party ♥️

Stills and snippets from an incredible inaugural @groovewellvacation ⚡️ I had the pleasure of opening the main room/ Night Flight stage and was immediately transported to one of the best booths I’ve experienced. Starting at a dubby 82 bpm and working my way up to 128 festival-style, this was a highlight of the year for me 100%. Having witnessed some of the most incredible DJ sets at @loveintfestival the week before, I took a few cues from the memory bank with me to Cali.

I’ve known the @groovewell_ boys for about 10 years and their determination and willpower to put together something like this amazes me but doesn’t surprise me; they have a sense of community building which is as infectious as it is inspiring. Thank you for your trust, friendship, and for creating an incredible playground and platform for us to play and thrive on.

I left this weekend feeling renewed and excited for the future musically, whatever it may hold. So cheers if you were on the d-floor, we met, connected, or had a silly interaction in Hopland. I’m feeling blessed and ready to continue this streak of magic.

Last but not least, shout out to the crew behind the scenes of which there are too many of you to name. From planning, to build, sound, operations, venue, vendors, and strike, you all made something truly spectacular and your professionalism and experience was on full display 👏🏼👏🏼

I’m still in awe of what just transpired as I lay here in the waiting room of the oil change/car wash lobby down the street from The Howl. My brain is still congealing back to solid, every inch of my body is screaming at me, but my heart is spread wide open like those vibrant pink lotuses on the pond. During the weekend, I kept hearing “the portal has been open,” and I agree and have more hope for the future than ever before. The darkness in this world is strong and very apparent, but the light always overcomes through love, community, truth, and creative force. The more I can get in the habit of reminding myself of this every day, the more the trust in the intelligence of the universe strengthens.

The trust of everyone who attended, everyone involved, and everyone who supported made @groovewellvacation beam bright. My jaw is still sore from the amount of smiling and laughing all weekend. The gratitude in my heart has never felt so intense in my life. The team that assembled and executed was literally a dream come true, or is it still a dream? Good question. It’s hard to fathom how rich the bond between us grew.

There are endless special moments that I will never forget from the love bomb of my best friends getting engaged, to rapid deep learning from our mentors that graciously came to support, to @martiniqueness asking, “What is GrooveWell?” at the opening ceremony. There are many different answers to that, but I’m most excited for the new answers that unlock as time goes on. 🔑

It’s pretty wild to think that it’s been 4 years since our first party at our home away from home, @nahual.mexico

When we first met @jose_metl and @amor.y.mexico in Sayulita the first night we arrived there in December 2020, they told us that they had just opened up a new venue and invited us to come play there. Little did we know that we would end up returning multiple times before finally making the big move to Sayulita and starting a series of memorable parties that have become a huge part of our decade long adventure as GrooveWell.
•
So here we are, a day removed from our final party at @nahual.mexico before we make our return to the Bay Area next week. So many memories were brought back going through these videos of different parties throughout the years and our hearts are filled with so much gratitude for all of the amazing connections we’ve made along the way.
•
Come dance with us a final time on our favorite jungle rooftop before we head out and begin this new chapter and put all our focus toward @groovewellvacation, it’s going to be an extra special night.
•

Ever since the inception of GrooveWell we’ve dreamed of eventually creating a GrooveWell stage and bringing our vibe (with all of its elements) directly into different festivals. Well, we successfully pulled it off and the experience was incredible. One thing is for sure though, there’s no way it could have been possible without the help of our amazingly talented friends who we’ve met along the way and have become core aspects of our community. Thanks to their support and belief in us, not only were we able to make a dream come true, but we were also able to have a unique and fresh experience combining friends from different chapters of our journey and executing an ambitious mission in a totally new environment.

This is what it’s all about and we can’t wait for more of it.

Deep Reef Pt. 2

Notice some of the crazy details here! Bottles caps for barnacles, bathmats for sea moss, individually painted and glued together coffee filters for sea anemones. The clam shells you could open (if you were curious enough 😉) with pearls, fun ocean facts and reflective questions inside of them. The iridescent jellyfish to support the lighting. We even had custom hand sewn coral pillows.

The Deep Reef aka “The Debrief” 🪸🐠🌊
Immersive Art Installation Summer 2024

Taught me what the phrase “labor of love” truly means. Brought to life with the collaboration of the brilliant minds of @gabbsview @kayruzzz & @kelseyannesofia. Traveled to festivals @sunsetsoundsystem, @landofmercury & @thisisnotakult.
Materials: paper mache, bath mats, coffee filters, toilet paper rolls, bottle caps, toothpicks and pool noodles and more.
Construction: 6’ kelp forest tunnel into a circular 12’D coral reef bell tent (seating capacity ~ 12ppl)
Themes: discovery, the unexpected, texture, “reeflections”, small group interaction.

Nothing brings me greater joy, satisfaction and motivation than to create worlds for people to dream, play and connect in. To instill a sense of awe and spark curiosity. This installation marks one year since I’ve embarked on this journey of experience creation & event production. I couldn’t be more grateful to have found this path and I can’t wait to see where it takes me. Thanks to all who have been a part of it so far. We are just getting started.

Let’s blow the roof off. 🚀💗
