❤️‍🩹 This is our community and now more than ever, coming together feels like one thing we can do to show love, support and strength for each other. Seeing the outpouring of kindness for Silver Rail is a beauty of its own, a reminder to us all that love is what matters, kindness matters, showing up for each other however is needed matters.  With no school for many kids in the area Monday and Tuesday, we are coming together to skate. If you can, please join us Monday at Ponderosa Skatepark from 12-4, and Tuesday at Rockridge Skatepark from 12-4 to skate, be together, mourn, love, in a safe, inclusive space.  Kids, teens, adults, everyone gathering in a joyful manner to conquer fear with love.  Below are links and a way to support the families and those directly affected by Thursday’s tragedy.  We love you, we are grateful for you and we hope to see you over the next few days ~ XO https://gofund.me/43a653c70 -Saylor https://gofund.me/ebbb8d150 - Rhoam https://gofund.me/eb7b3c462 - Ms.Becky https://gofund.me/207d8dcf1 - Teachers of Silver Rail

This project has not been an easy one. It is filled with late nights, worrisome days, many second guesses and lots of ‘how do we make this work’ conversations - all trampled by the most rewarding moments, connections and experiences. Recently, as we tried working out the math on this whole project, something pretty special happened. A phone call with Juli Powell. Followed by coffee and the gift of new, custom decks (solid work, @timothykarpinski) for our school skate programs. The Powell fam/brand came in big time, sharing not just decks, wheels, bearings (and some really fun extras for us to share #staytuned), but energy. Words of support and encouragement for what this community is creating and the impact we all have the opportunity to make. Grateful seems to be the word that keeps coming up time and time again throughout this journey and that itself is the proof in the Board House Society pudding. Thank you @powellperalta, in the words of the great Humphrey Bogart, “I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” *also please go register for the adult 3v3 futbol FUNdraiser! ⚽️
