YOUR SKIN IS TALKING. ARE YOU LISTENING?

What happens when the world around you starts showing up on your skin?

In Vienna, during @cerave’s Skin Under Pressure experience, we sat down with Dr. @andrewparkmd, board-certified dermatologist, to talk about the invisible barrier working on our behalf every single day; and what happens when environmental stress starts pushing it to its limits.

Pollution.
Weather changes.
Heat. Cold.
UV.
Dry air.
Everyday pressure we barely notice, but our skin does.

The most interesting part?
Your skin may be telling you something long before you realise it.

So we asked Dr. Park the questions we all should be asking: What is the skin barrier actually doing?
Why does it become compromised?
And what can we do to support it without turning skincare into a full-time job?

No overcomplicated routines.
No beauty noise.
Just dermatology, science and a conversation about the skin we live in.

Watch the Reel.
Then tell us: what does your skin do when the world gets a little too much?

your skin has a lot on its plate. we joined CeraVe in Vienna to talk UV, pollution, heat and what everyday life means for our skin barrier. between expert chats and a countryside hike, the takeaway was simple: more skincare isn’t always better.

YSL Beauty does it again 💋

we took the mic around the YSL Beauty Block Party in London to get some answers from the culture-shapers (and the cool girls who wouldn’t miss it for anything).

when YSL Beauty throws a block party, you sure know it’s less about following culture and more about shaping it.

@yslbeauty // @alishaboe = talking beauty rituals & black opium’s new era 🫧👛🤳

a new era of BLACK OPIUM begins with actress @alishaboe as the latest face of @yslbeauty iconic fragrance. Effortlessly cool, daring and unapologetically herself, Boe captures the spirit of BLACK OPIUM. A fearless attitude, magnetic energy and the confidence to move through the world on your own terms. The kind of energy that means long dinners become late nights, karaoke rooms become the final stop and a two litre water bottle is always in tow (alongside BLACK OPIUM, naturally, living permanently in her handbag). As the fragrance enters its next chapter, Boe embodies YSL Beauty’s belief that beauty is more than a product; it’s a mindset, a lifestyle and a mantra

Beanie Stolper: Firstly, huge congratulations on becoming the Global Ambassador for YSL Beauty. What does joining the YSL Beauty universe mean to you, and what’s your three step mantra for effortless cool-girl confidence and energy?
Alisha Boe: Sleep, water and of course a spray of perfume. Sleep is so hard to master (for me at least). If I’m able to get 7 hours every night, that’s a dream! Also drinking enough water. I have a 2-litre water bottle I carry around set that I have nicknamed “my little child”. Basic needs like sleep and hydration can be overlooked when we’re oversaturated with information on wellness.

BS: As the face of this new BLACK OPIUM chapter, what does your ultimate London night out look like, the kind where you forget the rules and make your own? (BLACK OPIUM in your handbag, obviously.)
AB: I love a loooong dinner! It usually involves seafood, oysters, gildas and little small plates. Definitely a cozy bar, maybe a dance somewhere and of course ending the night with a karaoke room!

BS: BLACK OPIUM has been a YSL Beauty icon since 2014. How did you bring a fresh attitude to this new era and add your own Alisha Boe stamp to the legacy?
AB: There is no end and beginning. Me and the vibe of Black Opium are one! She’s the one who doesn’t wait for the party to start, she is the party. She’s magnetic and smells damn good walking into any room.
