This weekend has been exhausting but so fulfilling! Yesterday I spent the majority of the day watching 10 amazing structures be built out of canned food that will be donated to the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank with CANstruction Pgh.

Today I got to photograph some really special kids who have battled or are battling serious illnesses. We also had 2 canvas reveals for kids who were photographed at previous events. I love watching these kids have fun and get into the photoshoots and give their ideas for the final canvas vision!

I have had the greatest privilege of photographing for @somanyangels for many years, and canvas reveal day never gets old. So thankful for the @livelikemayafoundation for trusting me, for @somanyangels for pulling me in, and for @deontelaron for the incredible video because of COURSE I set my phone down and took no photos during the event!!

Last month we had the honor of going to our first @somanyangels event and Christian had the time of his life meeting the superhero’s and posing for pictures! On Monday we got to go the canvas reveal and we were blown away ❤️ Christian was so excited to see himself “webbing it up” as Spidey 🕸️ words can’t even begin describe how amazing everyone is that is involved in this organization and we can’t thank them enough for what they have done ❤️💙

What a way to cap off my day- Canvas reveal night with @somanyangels! Tonight we surprised the kids and their families with the canvases we made from their photoshoot last month. The reactions were priceless and it was such a heartfelt night. Though we were really missing @kyliestrong10816 tonight 💔

There are some people you meet, and you know you will never forget. Kylie was one of them.

Last year, I photographed Kylie for the first time at a So Many Angels event. She was dressed as Elsa, and even in that first session, I knew she was special.

Since then, I had the privilege of photographing her again through the organization, and just a couple of weeks ago, I invited her and her family to my studio to be photographed with her sister and brother for one of our Couture dress experiences.

Every single time I saw Kylie, she was smiling. Strong. Kind and respectful. Unapologetically herself. She wasn't afraid to speak up for what she needed, and despite everything she carried these past few years, she had this way of lighting up an entire room the moment she walked in.

Kylie loved roller coasters, animals, makeup, and most of all, her family. She had a strong dislike for pink 💕 She carried a maturity far beyond her years, but underneath it all, she just wanted to be seen as a normal kid. And when you were with her, she was. She made sure of it.

Yesterday, Kylie lost her battle. But fighter doesn't feel like a strong enough word for what she was.

To her family: thank you for sharing her with me, and with everyone she touched. Her light doesn't go out. It just moves into all of us who were lucky enough to know her.

Rest easy, sweet girl.

It is true what they say. Angels truly are all around us. You may or may not be able to see them. If you can not? You may then very well be one.

If you are not sure?

Become one.😇

It was an honor and pleasure to finally suit up in the iconic Christopher Reeve Superman suit for the children at a recent So Many Angels event.

The cause that brings certain people together fighting for our beloved children/families of tomorrow in unimaginable circumstances is a surreal feeling to behold. I am forever grateful and humbled to be asked to volunteer for such a breathtaking and world changing phenomena to show up for others (especially the kids).

I never take it for granted🦸‍♂️💙🦸‍♂️.

Had a great time volunteering at the @somanyangels event last night! We decorated capes and crowns and painted mini canvases with kids and their siblings who were there for their photo session. Didn’t get many pics, but it was so much fun. ❤️

Big thanks to So Many Angels for having us!

Our Photo Session Day with @somanyangels is truly one of our favorite days of the year! 💙 It’s a day filled with smiles, laughter, and unforgettable moments as we create lasting memories for children facing critical illnesses and the families who love them so deeply.

Another HUGE thank you to the sponsors who donated towards a photo session or sponsored an entire photo session: Julie Szawaluk, Deneb Carpenter, John Golski, Carly Scheuer, Charles Retzler, Sheri Elmore, Stephanie Burress, Kelly Richards, Tammy Blevins, Nathalie Neuburger, Jessica Orr and Love Like JJ! 💙 Also thank you to @weareherostrong and @crownandcapeproductions for always making our events even MORE meaningful and lending your time and talents 🦸👸, and to Dave and Busters for allowing us to use your beautiful space. 💙

The magic doesn’t end with the photo session! The incredibly talented artists at So Many Angels transform each child’s portrait into a one-of-a-kind canvas, bringing their dreams to life as superheroes, princesses, musicians, sports stars, and so much more.

We can’t wait for the canvas reveals! There’s nothing quite like seeing a child’s face light up when they see themselves transformed into their dream of what they want to be. We’d love for you to share in that unforgettable moment with us at the 2026 Maya Grace Collins Memorial Golf Tournament after-party at Third Eye Brewing Company Sharonville on September 14.

The after-party is a ticketed event but open to the public, so whether you’re joining us for golf or simply want to celebrate these incredible children and their families, we’d love to see you there!

⛳ Better yet, gather a foursome and spend the day on the course before joining us for an unforgettable evening.
