A few years ago on Mother’s Day, I got to spend the day with my friend @lenadunham and her mother, Laurie, a wonderful artist. It was a special day for many reasons, but I was extra happy to gift a ring shaped like a clitoris that was in my own jewelry box to Lena, who I knew would style it infinitely better than me! Recently, Lena and Laurie were back in my living room, this time with dozens of friends thanks to @warbyparker and their Book Report series, to celebrate Lena’s new memoir, 𝘍𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘬. The gift of Lena’s honest, wise writing, with her great sense of humor, was a way better gift than the clitoris ring!
