1. It’s a lot lonelier than expected

Many moms are surprised by how isolating it can feel even when you’re never alone. Adult conversation becomes rare, and old friendships can fade because your schedules and priorities no longer match.

2. Your identity takes a bigger hit than you think

A lot of women (including myself) say their confidence and sense of self dropped. Going from “I have a career and paycheck” to “I’m just a mom” can mess with how you see yourself (and how some people treat you).

3. The days are both endless and gone in a flash

Time feels completely different. Hours drag when the baby is fussy, but the months and years disappear. Many wish they had slowed down more and stressed less about the mess.

4. The “perfect SAHM” image is a lie

Social media makes it look peaceful and put together. Real life is often chaotic, sticky, and imperfect and that’s normal. Leaning on Jesus is so crucial for your sanity and peace!

5. This season is temporary (and valuable)

Many say they spent the early years wishing for more freedom or productivity, only to later realize how short and precious that time with little kids actually was.

In saying all of this nobody told me what it was going to be like. We as women have to adjust and find our new rhythm in this new season. It’s been a bit of a struggle for me and a challenge, but God is so good and faithful! Enjoy every stage of life because you will never get this time back!! 💗

Truly blown away by how God moved at @pathwaychurch.us She Is Womens Conference! Over 700 women gathered for a night of worship and close to 100 women made the decision to go all in with Jesus!! Revival is happening in churches! So thankful for @pastortravisjohnson and @kellywebbjohnson and the difference they are making in the city of Mobile, AL.

This photo was captured just a few hours ago during our Men’s Breakfast at @pathwaychurch.us. What you see in the photo is my infant son, Jonathan, with his hands raised in worship. But what you don’t see is my hand holding him up, giving him the opportunity, even at such a young age, to be present and engaged in an atmosphere of worship.

This photo means a lot to me 🥹

As my Pastor @pastortravisjohnson always says, “The greatest inheritance we can leave our children isn’t material, it’s a legacy of FAITH in Jesus.” Raising strong, godly men takes intentionality, and the best time to start is while they’re young!

As a father, one thing I’m committed to is intentionally placing my son in environments that stir up his faith and cultivate a genuine love for Jesus. That’s why @somebiekwere and I are so grateful that Jonathan gets to grow up in a church surrounded by strong, devoted men who love Jesus, love their families, and love their nation.

We’re not just raising children - we’re raising the next generation of men who will carry the faith forward🔥

Sunday was a day of firsts for me! For the first time I had the honor of preaching in 3 physical services across 2 of our @pathwaychurch.us campuses, while streaming into another campus in Southaven, MS. Grateful to God for this milestone! Thank you @pastortravisjohnson for the opportunity to serve and grow in ministry under your leadership.

Sunday was also Baby Jonathan’s first service in Kids Church and I heard he did awesome(see last photo). Special shoutout to our @pathway_kids staff, Pst Lucas, @blessitwithwhit, Kara, and the entire team! You guys rock!
