Since I'm currently walking with a cane, I figured it'd be a good idea to work one handed dry fire. Support hand fire is weird and I definitely need to work on it more.

As we celebrate Columbus Day 2026 during Italian Heritage Month, it is important to remember why Columbus crossed the ocean.

I’ve been carrying my @shadowsystemscorp CR920X lately so I thought it best to start training more with it. Makes sense, right. 1R1’s, 2R2’s, CP’s, etc.

I literally have “skin in the game” as the slide this past week of shooting has run a groove in my hand (last pic).

Now I have to decide what dot to put on it.

Always working, Lord’s day or not. Running some 2R2’s with my ever faithful LMT. Short day of 100 rounds. Finished the day training with the Staccato C2.

First target picture is 100 rounds of 2R2’s, rifle work.

Second picture is 200 rounds of 1R1’s, CP’s, and 2R2’s with my Staccato C2.

Building out my gear has made one thing very obvious: a smaller size doesn't automatically mean it was made to fit women. 😅

That's especially true with body armor. If the plates aren't shaped for your body, they can sit awkwardly, create pressure points, restrict movement, or just not sit where they're supposed to. And when we're talking protective gear, fit isn't only about being comfortable.

So I've been slowly finding pieces that actually work with my body instead of trying to make myself fit the gear.

My latest addition is RMA's SRT Lightweight Women's Body Armor. The female-specific curve was a big selling point for me because, turns out, boobs don't disappear just because you put a plate carrier on. 😂

We don't need everything made smaller and pink. We just need gear that's actually designed with our bodies in mind.

Shoutout to RMA Armament for doing that with these. 👏
