What is the basketball equivalent of a Bowman First? That was the opportunity Sam Gordon (@somerarecards) saw when Overtime Elite began working with Topps. Before Amen and Ausar Thompson reached the NBA, collectors had access to licensed Topps Chrome cards with rookie logos and on-card autographs. The cards came first. The market recognition has not followed. Will collectors view OTE cards as pre-rookies that sit outside the NBA timeline? Or will they become the first cards that matter? Sam shares the collector’s perspective behind building the OTE products on Passion to Profession presented by eBay.

2005 Leaf Limited Todd Helton Game Used 1/1 MLB Logoman 🗻 with the market going crazy I was happy to grab this for a reasonable price. Helton is a Hall of Famer, career .316 hitter, 5-time all-star and is the Rockies franchise leader in hits, doubles, home runs, and RBIs. Early logomen of hall of famers are becoming harder to come by so this is a cool one

2004 SP Game Used Patch Tom Glavine 1/1 MLB Logoman!!! This is my favorite MLB logo set and probably my favorite modern baseball set EVER, but it’s taken me until now to land a card from it. Couple things: 1) Amazing design that really shines in person 2) Stitched logo >>>> 3) Glavine is HOFer and has over 300 wins 4) From what I can tell he has 5 first year (2004) logoman cards but only two are in Braves uniform so this is easily my favorite logo card of his in existence This is part of my PC but from a monetary standpoint I do think these are really good value, relatively. An early NBA logoman from equivalent player would be multiples of what I paid for this. So in this wild market it feels nice to find an affordable card that I really like 🔥 These rarely come up but if you have one and are willing to part with it let me know!

Had to take original post down bc of music but this one is EVEN BETTER bc I got to link up with Smush and show him the card (swipe through) 🔥 story below Unfortunately I had to miss the national this year, so to make up for it, I made an offer on a card I’ve been wanting for a while. Channeling @spinotron here a little but - Smush is from NYC and I’ve actually known him personally for years. He refs a lot of my basketball games and is a nice guy (besides when I argue foul calls). As far as I can tell this is his ONLY logoman ever made. If someone else knows of another please let me know. Not a card I could have found in Chicago anyway 🤷 and it’s my first nba logoman. I love the design of this set. It was actually a bit of a process to get the card. I first saw it as a completed listing on eBay and messaged the seller asking him to send my email to the buyer so I could make a deal. Fast forward a month or two and I actually saw the card on my IG explore page and sent an Instagram DM. Pure luck. Thank you to @lakers824c for an easy deal. Check out his Lakers PC! @smush_parker_elite

Finally reunited these two. I was actually with the twins when they signed these cards (you can kind of see them in the background of the video). As a reminder these cards are fully licensed, on card topps chrome autos. I liken them to Bowman 1sts but the market does not 🤣 @topps

Miguel Cabrera 2005 leaf certified 1/1 game used logoman 🔥 so hard to find early superstar logomen, and I do think these are a bargain compared to nba logomen. Thanks to @90sinserts for letting it go! Last player to win the triple crown 👑

UPDATE: Sold Only pickup from Day 1 actually came through a trade. I already had a Pujols 1/1 Logoman but I saw this leaf one and luckily the dealer was willing to trade down for mine. In my mind the 2004 leaf has a much better design and the patch window is also much wider. I believe this is Pujols’ first single logoman (and may be first ever logoman). if anyone has info on this, lmk. Either way happy with this piece! 🔥 #logoman #mlblogoman #cards #sportscards #baseball #baseballcards

2004 Fleer E-X Alex Rodriguez/Alfonso Soriano Dual MLB Logo 1/1. HUGE mail day today. I’ve always admired @darscards35kd collection and we ended up meeting in person at the National and becoming friends. As soon as he posted this card, I messaged him about it. It wasn’t available at the time, but fast forward a few months and we were able to make a deal. I sold a card I really liked (Chad Ochocinco superfractor) to @waldorfstories to partially fund this purchase. I love this card for a few reasons but mainly because it brings me back to the peak of my love for baseball in the early 2000s. Arod and Soriano were perennial all-stars and of course, their cards were highly sought after. I think A Rod doesn’t get enough hobby love — if you look at the numbers and accomplishments he’s a top 10 player ever. And Soriano was elite. Arod and Soriano are two of only five players to ever hit 40 hrs and 40 sbs in a single season (+ Acuña, Bonds, Canseco). So this card has even more meaning because of that. Also, notice how beat up the Arod patch is. Clearly game worn. @darscards35kd also threw in a couple freebies which were, at times, very hot cards in the hobby. Overall very excited to add this unique card to the collection. #cards #sportscards #yankees #rangers #newyorkyankees #logoman
