Busqué en varias fuentes donde me recomendaban desayunar en Chicago y esta fue una opción recurrente.

Somerset vive dentro del Hotel Viceroy, sobre el terreno donde alguna vez estuvo el histórico Cedar Hotel de los años veinte. El espacio es amplio, luminoso, con chimenea y sillones donde la gente se queda horas con un café. No es el típico restaurante de hotel al que entras de paso.

La cocina logra entregar sabores que se sienten familiares y nuevos al mismo tiempo por su influencia mediterránea y uso de especias.

En esta temporada la terraza es el mejor lugar de la casa. Está a unas cuadras de Oak Street Beach y a nada de las tiendas de la zona, así que funciona igual para arrancar el día que para cerrar la tarde sin prisa.

Si estás en Chicago o planeas ir próximamente, apunta este lugar en tus pendientes.
