📸 New headshot, new season. Big thanks to @yarraandyellowstonephoto for capturing a version of me that feels stylish, confident, and ready to step into what’s next. Entrepreneurship is a wild ride. Throw parenting in the sidecar, and the twists and turns get even more unpredictable! This season has been about exploring new ideas—cultivating partnerships, finding fresh ways to communicate, and discovering new directions for my creativity. The constant growth and self-reflection it takes to keep moving forward can feel overwhelming at times. But I’ve come to see the uncertainty and discomfort as signs that I’m on the edge of something meaningful. Like Led Zeppelin says, “It’s been a long time since I rock and rolled,” but this process reminds me that growth is its own kind of rhythm—and I’m learning to embrace it. Thank you, Liv & Britt, for helping me feel grounded and ready to move forward with confidence. 💛 🥂 Let’s Go!

Big Sky Economic Development (BSED) has partnered with Developers Council International (DCI) for a Billings/Yellowstone County talent attraction and retention research project. We have followed a three-phrase scope of work to build the right foundation for a talent attraction and retention strategy for Billings, MT. The three phases are: 1. Target Market Identification 2. Perception Research 3. Results & Talent Workshop Yesterday, we hosted education partners, business leaders, elected officials, and stakeholders from throughout Billings for a highly interactive workshop focused on talent attraction and retention within the region. Place marketing and research firm DCI presented the findings from a comprehensive talent research study, which draws insights from external talent in target markets and internal talent and students. DCI then facilitated breakout exercises and group discussion with the goal to align around Billings’ assets, challenges, and opportunities, as well as creative strategies to attract and retain talent within Billings. BSED is excited to start putting the knowledge and inspiration gained from the workshop into action and building the right foundation for a talent attraction and retention strategy for Billings, Montana's City! 🌟 Working together with our partners and the community to create real, meaningful change. I’ve got nothing but gratitude for today. It’s been a relatively long week not being in the salon, and I’m so glad I got to sneak away and be with a client. This week I’ve found myself grateful for... 🪩 a schedule that allows for easy rescheduling so I can be home with my kids when they need me 🪩 my friends who are incredible photographers 🪩 being able to help women build their confidence with hair extensions and seamless hair color 🪩 local clothing boutiques and stylists who help me build my confidence 🪩 Disco balls and phone calls with my best friend 🪩 Dive bars, margaritas and my mom 🪩 achieving my ultimate goal of having a salon on the 2nd floor 🪩 Strawberry waffle cones and warm summer nights downtown 🪩 Shower caps and quick dry towels to help speed up wash day 🪩 The last 200ish pages of every ToG book What are you grateful for this week?
