October 1st was our 40th Birthday 🎂 wow 🤯

As crazy as it feels to meet this mid life milestone, it really just boils down to a chronological number, a momentous opportunity to reframe in the most beautiful way:

40 years of living to just begin a path of awakening
40 years of becoming to just start the journey of being
40 years of physical, mental, and emotional growth to support the next 40 years dedicated to spiritual, soulful, and conscious growth.

To ground this grandiosity of time and space, we wanted to spend this new decade with not self-care, but TOGETHER-CARE. We spent a short Collingwood getaway to Spa, golf, eating great food, and asking great questions.

Very grateful for all that I have experienced in these 40 years thus far. As inviting as it is to want to do more, be more, and have more, all I really want more of is to be more present with the people, places, and passions I love. 🧘🏻‍♂️ 🏃🏻‍♂️ 🤸🏻‍♂️

Our little Calabogie getaway recap. ☀️😎

We stayed at @somewhere.inn and had such a great experience. It’s dog-friendly (Kobe approved 🐶), they even let us borrow paddleboards for free, and the beach/lake was only a 5min minute walk from our room.

Peaceful views, fresh air, and quality time together 💕

Calabogie in the fall might just be one of my favourite Ontario weekend getaways. 🍂 And if you’ve never been, consider this your sign to start planning!

Between the hiking trails, incredible fall views, cute places to stay and a few very good food stops, you can easily fill an entire weekend here. The only problem? You probably won’t have time to do everything. 😂

So instead of giving you a packed itinerary that has you running from one place to the next, I put together some of my favourite Calabogie stops so you can plan your weekend YOUR way.

Personally, I wouldn’t skip Eagle’s Nest Lookout, especially once the colours start changing. But if you’re feeling ambitious, there’s another hike to add to your list. Or you could skip the extra hiking altogether and take the chairlift at Calabogie Peaks instead. Absolutely no judgment. 😂

Throw in a cute motel, a morning coffee, a post-hike beer and a sunset over Calabogie Lake, and you’ve got yourself a pretty great fall weekend.
