POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

December Monthly Moods was our 30th in a row—30 months of dinner parties, curated by our entire team just for you.

This month is our anniversary edition (the big 4 years!) featuring Okonski’s “Entrance Music,” a record that’s been an inspiration in 2025, coupled with dishes from Chef Nick’s culinary experiences throughout his career—in Los Angeles, New York, and back to the kitchen of his dear Grandma Betty in Ohio.

We hope you’ll join us this month, we have some exciting news to share over dinner, too 🔥

Colton and I attended Applied Wine Theory class at @nichekansas last week and it was so fun! 🍷🧀

White wines, blind tastings, noting aromas, and a new favorite discovered!!

Thank you to Sommelier Yannic Dozier, Rachel Mastio and the @wsutech TWI (Training + Workforce Innovation) team for the experience.❤️

27th annual monthly moods
Beautiful music and beautiful food as always, i always listen to the album before and during my editing process, i want the music to fit my photos. This album was stung and dramatic which is why i chose to make all of the photos of the event black and white
The pictures of food are coming next…

Monthly Moods, Vol. 27, was one for the books. We had morels foraged by a friend who brought them back from the West coast, a wedding anniversary, sticks from College Hill Park, and a guest from Latvia who said the meal felt like home.

We love bringing new moods every month and sharing them and their stories with you. October will be a tribute to Steely Dan’s “Gaucho” and Argentine food inspired by Francis Mallmann.

Join us on Wednesday, October 29th, at 6 p.m. For reservations, email events@firstmilekitchen.com.

IF YOU DONT USE IT YOU LOSE IT 😹 Excited to be part of a new wine tasting group! 🍷✨There’s something special about coming together to share bottles, and perspectives—each glass teaching us something new. It’s crazy how your five senses can be refined through repetition. The value isn’t just in tasting great wine, but in learning from each other, building community, and growing our palates along the way.

June Installment of First Mile kitchen’s Monthly Moods
This was 🎊The 2 year anniversary🎉 of Monthly Moods! The album featured was Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” which came out in 1974. It honestly feels like we just had the first wine dinner not that long ago, time flies. I had to start with this photo of our very own sommelier, I really love much thought and focus you can see in Yannics face.
