And now it’s time to raise a glass to all the good things that came with this great adventure.

No, I’m still not happy with my result in the competition, but I am so grateful for the experience.

After spending so much time competing, being able to bounce back from such disappointment is a life skill I’m proud of. If there’s one thing competition sommeliers are, it’s resilient.

I’ve been reminded that I have friends literally all over the world who understand and respect the emotional turmoil that comes from years of preparation being boiled down to just a few minutes of performance.

The late-night talks. The food. The wine. The hugs and the laughter. The exchange of experience and knowledge. The friendships forged in the pursuit of improvement. The pride in our craft. The people who have seen me at my best and my worst, and still stand by my side.

Thank you. ❤️ especially to my family and Erik, and my sommelierfamily Swesomm & Sommelierföreningen, the Nordic Dream Team, and off course Janni, Sören and Ellen who got my back in all weathers

Okay, it didn’t work out as hoped for with the semi finals.

And it feels really heavy, because I genuinely believed I could do it. I had a good feeling about it, which very quickly turned into a huge sense of emptiness. I’m doing okay now, but it will take time before it stops hurting.

What feels strangest is that it’s over. It has been such a long way to get here, only for it to suddenly be over. In many ways, that’s difficult to fully take in.

However, I will allow myself to feel all these emotions and then move forward. I am bruised, but not broken, and I am incredibly proud of myself and of how I represented both myself and my country throughout this journey.

Thank you all, now I will enjoy my last days in Portugal, good company and an amazing final of #ASIBestSommelier2026

What an incredible last month or so...
Denmark's Best Sommelier 2026
Falstaff Best Young Sommelier
Nordic's Best Sommelier 2026

All three things happening in such a short amount of time is absolutely incredible and completely unbelievable had you asked me... Well just one month ago.

A lot of challenges but also a lot of fun and great people have been the summation of all these events.

A lot of thoughts are going through my head right now and I am not sure anyone really needs to hear half of them.

So let me instead just say thank you!

Thank you to all the people that have supported me, been there to push me and give me motivation.
Thank you to @dansksommelierforening for all the support and the great competition(s).
Thank you to @fallstaff.nordics for the amazing recognition
Thank you to @restaurant_aoc and the entire team for the support and the environment you have created.
Thank you to my competitors for pushing me.

Thank you
