Step Into Mastery—
Certified Sound Practitioner Training taught by expert Michelle Berc @sonicbeing built from 18 yrs of real life experience

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This is what growth through sound looks like. ✨

When Dominique signed up for the Sonic Being Hybrid Training earlier this year, she came in with a lot of questions — thoughtful, valid questions. She’s naturally inquisitive, detail-oriented, and wanted to really understand what she was stepping into.

Her original mission was pretty clear: she wanted to learn the crystal bowls so she could sing with them.

But I told her, there is SO much more to sound healing than crystal bowls.

The Sonic Being Method explores the full spectrum of sound — different instruments, frequencies, textures and techniques — and how we can intentionally work with them to create a therapeutic experience for ourselves and others.

When we gathered for our four-day immersion, Dominique was initially timid around some of the instruments. Especially the gongs. 🌀

In fact, she told me, “Gongs are not for me.” At one point, she even considered stepping out of the room when we played them.

But little by little, she leaned in.

She listened. She explored. She played. She allowed herself to experience sounds outside of her comfort zone.

And something began to shift.

By the end of the immersion, when it was time for her mini practice session, guess what she chose to play?

A GONG. ❤️

Along with the alchemy bowls and several other instruments.

And then, just a few days ago, Dominique assisted me at one of my sound baths.

I watched her step into the space with confidence, connect with the instruments and beautifully support the session — and I didn’t have to coach her through it.

I was so proud.

This is why I love teaching this work. Sound healing isn’t only about learning how to play an instrument. It’s about listening, exploring, doing our own inner work and sometimes leaning toward the very thing we initially want to move away from.

Because that’s often where expansion begins.

Dominique, I can’t wait to witness where you take this.

This is just the beginning of your story. ✨

✨ You don’t need a room full of instruments to create a meaningful sound experience.

This simple setup was for a 20-minute sound bath I shared with a colleague — a reminder that more doesn’t always mean more. 🎶

A few well-chosen instruments, played with skill, presence, and intention, can create a powerful experience. Start with what you have, learn it deeply, and let your collection — and practice — grow with you. 💫

Simple. Spacious. Intentional. Powerful. 🤍

PS. I work with many instrument brands and guide sound healers on making wise sonic tool investments. Reach out for a private consultation and with some brands, I can pass along special pricing.

What’s in the box?? 📦⁉️
Just what you need on a hot California day… cleansing sounds! 💦
Calling in cooling water…. A little rain to balance out the heat and keep our inner and outer environment nourished! 🌞🌧️🧘🏻‍♀️✨
Check out the latest from @rainstick_dreams ….
The Midway Nocturne rainstick offers a slightly different pitch of a clearing/noise sound for soundscape design. Keep watching the video for a quick comparison to a few of the other rain stick fills that are available. 🧐👂Remember that the different sizes and fills affect the length and the pitch of the sound. My favorite is to blend one larger rain stick with a small one for layering and deeper energy work.✨ And of course, getting creative with other instruments to create a unique soundscape.

✨ A little re-introduction…

If you’re new here, welcome. And if you’ve been following along for years, thank you for being part of this journey.

I’m Michelle Berc, founder of Sonic Being.

While many people know me as a sound healer, my journey began in the creative arts. Before stepping into the healing world, I worked in music video production and later founded Create:Fixate, a nonprofit arts organization producing immersive art experiences that supported thousands of emerging artists and musicians throughout Los Angeles.

Looking back, I realize I’ve always been creating spaces for people to connect, reflect, and transform. Today, that same passion continues through sound.

Over the past 18+ years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding sound experiences, training practitioners, producing wellness events, and helping people discover the incredible potential of sound and vibration.

My mission is simple: to help people reconnect with themselves through sound, stillness, and intentional experiences.

I’m so grateful you’re here.

✨ I’d love to know—how did you find this page, and what inspired you to follow along?
