🚨 RING DA ALARM 🚨

@iamkalexishelby x Tony Lovelesss
“Chicago” / “Ring Da Alarm”
7” 45rpm. Sonic Wax DJ Weapons 001.
Only 100 copies. Drops Friday, Oct 16.

Some records arrive with a reputation before they’re pressed. “Chicago” has been living in DJ bags for months, and when @joeclaussellsplaygroundd dropped it on a boat party, the whole internet caught it. Pure Chicago disco heat, a tribute to the city that made him.

Flip it for “Ring Da Alarm,” a jazzy vocal groover built for the early hours and the long build.

Nearly four decades in, the Chicago Acid King is still handing DJs the tools. Proud to stand behind this one.

Pre-order now at sonicwax.io before the diggers clear it out.

Because Family Matters.

It’s not every day I get to spend a morning watching vinyls being pressed! Had a really lovely time at @sonicwaxpressing a few weeks ago with @lucyrose, as she signed a few hundred copies of her live album recorded at Union Chapel earlier this year. It sounds absolutely gorgeous, go grab a copy if you can! x

When I was putting together the release of the live album, I wanted to see if there was a vinyl plant local to me, that could make my vinyl. I was pleasantly surprised to discover @sonicwaxpressing. I was lucky enough to visit them on a day they were pressing my album and I can’t really explain how meaningful it was to see the level of care and detail going into the process, to make the vinyl the very best they could be. I’ve never had this hands on experience, of seeing the plastics being hand blended to make the exact colour vinyl I was after, the checking of sound quality on their systems and all round welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Thank you to all who have purchased, they are close to selling out which is amazing, so thank you! And those giving it a stream, I appreciate it so much! Onto the next thing, but I hope this is musical company to some of you in the meantime.

There’s something special about seeing a record go from finished music to an actual 7” you can hold 💿

Here’s Honoré’s new single: We’re Still Making Love on the press at Sonic Wax in Wigston, Leicestershire.

It’s out now on 7” Vinyl and Digital Download, available via www.souljones.com.

A little glimpse of what goes on before that record lands on your turntable, if you want to see more BTS let me know in the comments!

Footage captured by Adam Buchanan.
Pressed by Sonic Wax.

For the devoted. Dig it. x
