New York City just got what might be its first Korean-Italian restaurant, opened by a Michelin-level chef from Gramercy Tavern and Oiji Mi.

📍SONO
176 1st Ave, New York, NY 10009

We started with the charred octopus with guanciale, but my favorite was the pasta with jjajang ragù and spicy Italian sausage. It was so creamy and flavorful.

For the main, we had the Ibérico pork shoulder with pickled perilla. The meat was so tender.

We ended the meal with a black sesame tiramisu—a surprising twist on a classic Italian dessert, but it just worked.
