Shrinking the past ten years into a 6 minute film was definitely a herculean task but here it is and I hope it is worth your time.

This documentary reminds me why it is important to keep going if you believe in something. I know it’s only up from here, and I’m glad to be on this journey, always ❤️

Grateful to everyone that has been a part of this journey, and special shout-out to my mama and friends for bringing this to life✨

Dreams aren’t free.
There’s a price to pay for everything.
Every story has a scene that changes everything.
Today is that scene for me.

Years of discipline, quiet sacrifices and unanswered questions, have led to this moment.

It is now Sogo Gbarada, ESQ to you.

So thrilled to welcome you all to my debut solo exhibition opening next weekend, March 7 @relegallery Lagos.

Titled “Between a prayer and a song” and curated by @mswanawana , this body of work continues my exploration into what it means to exist between known and unknown and the emotional weight that comes with being in that space.

I have always looked forward to my first solo show and I’m so grateful that the moment is finally here. As usual, this body of work- rooted in both personal and collective experience- is so dear to my heart and I cannot wait for the world to experience it! Mark your calendars and countdown to March 7 🥳🥳

Following Dan Azeez through preparation, pressure, and wins, this is a highlight documentary that captures boxing in Nigeria beyond the noise.

The work is here. The fights are here. The wins are here.
