Thank you to everybody who helped make our NoHo BID Summer Party such a fun evening at @jeanslafayette!! Our Summer Party is an annual tradition, and we’re thankful for the chance to bring together this wonderful community and celebrate NoHo. We’re also so appreciative to our hosts at @jeanslafayette for providing the space, cocktails, delicious bites and excellent service as we enjoyed connecting and gathering.

This year’s party was extra special as we celebrated 30 years of the NoHo BID! Our friends at @manhattanbp’s office brought a proclamation declaring Wednesday, July 15th as NoHo BID Appreciation Day — an extra special treat. Thanks Deputy Borough President Smith!!

We’re lucky to have elected officials who value this community as much as we do, thanks for joining us @harveyforny and @graceleefornyc!

Finally, a big thank you to our raffle sponsors for giving prizes to the neighborhood. We love a raffle at the BID, and want to thank you all for helping add some fun and excitement to the evening - @nownownoho, @selimaoptique, @buddybuddy, @havenspanyc, @jenproudmanjewelry and @publictheaterny. #NoHo #NoHoNYC #ExploreNoHo

Today is the anniversary of the birth of the first woman elected to The Lambs: Cornelia Otis Skinner. The actress & author was born in Chicago 30 May 1899; her father, Otis Skinner, was a charter member. She made her stage debut in 1922 and stayed active into the 1970s. Skinner ended 100 years of gender discrimination by joining the all-male Lambs in 1974 (years before many other private men-only clubs). She also served for years on the board of governors of @alifeinthearts

Skinner died in 1979. In 2022, The Lambs commissioned her portrait by celebrated painter @sonyasklaroff — the first art in our collection created by a woman of a female member.

Happy Birthday to Cornelia Otis Skinner.
