Coastal Virginia Craft Invitational at Suffolk Art Gallery.

So grateful and humbled to be included in this exhibition alongside ten incredible artists in our area working in glass, clay, fibers, wood and metal. Thank you @jennmarrrieee and the advisory team for selecting my work and giving me space to express my raw, visceral self. This is the second time this piece has ever been installed similarly to its original form, and I didn’t think I’d be given a similar space to show it again. It’s a quiet reminder of how much growth can happen between then and now.

I’m also extremely grateful to @deepblack.shop for inviting me to create a piece for his stunning installation. From the day we met, he’s been a huge inspiration, always loving, embracing, supporting, and guiding me through my growth as both an artist and a person. It’s such an honor not only to contribute to his work, but to be part of this incredible group exhibition alongside him and so many other talented makers.

I never imagined I’d be invited to participate in something like this. To share a space filled with so much talent, love, support and creative energy, both familiar and new, was truly special. I can't wait to continue building these bonds in this community and leave my mark alongside these talented human beings.

I have gotten progressively worse at posting on social media, but I am going to try to do a bunch of random update posts soon. I'll get back in the swing of things eventually (o̸̟͌r̴͙̍ ̷̻̀n̷̮̿o̵̭͛t̸̖̎ ̷̤͗à̵̗s̵̘͐ ̵̛̥i̷̡̇t̵̗̓ ̴͓̎ș̷̇e̸̗͆e̷̗̚m̶͙̑s̸̩̓ ̸̝̾I̵̺͂ ̸̩̂ġ̶͚e̶̳͝ṯ̶̑ ̷̲͠o̵̘̍l̴̜̓ḓ̸͊e̴̯̽r̶̨̾ ̷̢̏a̴͎͠n̶̥͊d̴̥͐ ̵͖̂s̴͙͝i̸̥̕m̷̰͐p̶͍̊l̵̗̋e̴̫̓ ̵̲̀t̵̗̿å̵͉s̶͕̀k̷͓̕ș̵̈́ ̵̫̈́s̵̭̆ë̵̱́ȅ̷͜m̵̳̕ ̸̙̅d̶̤͛a̵̠͐ú̶̩n̴̳̑t̸̗͌i̸̝͛n̶̩̏g̷̞̎.̶̣̾)

Anyway, I am endlessly thankful for all the love and support that keeps me going. 🫶🏾

📍Chrysler Museum, Norfolk, VA

In August I had the opportunity, privilege and pleasure to play music with a collective of glass bending artisans for a performance at their home base:)

This experience changed me.

Thank you always,

First month of my Chrysler Museum assistantship has been surreal!!! Like a glassy Alice in Wonderland type adventure and I’m absolutely loving it.

I’m already feeling the influence of being immersed in glass full time here starting to change how I approach my own work. So excited to see how my style evolves and transforms over the coming months.

Also feeling extremely lucky to have been blessed with such a cool, kind, group of fellow assistants! Learning so much from them as well as the super knowledgeable studio and museum staff too.

Make sure you follow everyone and check out their unique works!

I’ll be here through the end of the year! If you’re in the neighborhood come visit! Free daily glass blowing demos at noon 😎❤️‍🔥
