Have you ever wondered what would happen if John Coltrane and Miles Davis hopped on stage with the Allman Brothers at the Fillmore East?

Well we did.

Before the Allman Brothers Band defined Southern rock, they studied Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Iconic anthems like “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” and “Mountain Jam” weren't just blues-rock, they were built on modal improvisation, swing, and fearless dual-lead interplay.

GLAABB (Gianni Leito’s Almost Allman Brothers Band) digs into that exact intersection, treating the Allman catalog as the open-ended jazz vehicle it was born to be. Presented by Jazz Is New Haven / Unplugged, this special tribute brings Connecticut’s finest improvisational players together in an intimate listening-room setting to celebrate jazz as a living cultural legacy.
