My Soph…..you are bright, beautiful, independent, talented, and most of all, one of my biggest blessings! Nineteen years have flown by, but every moment of watching you has been a gift. I love you so very much and can’t wait to celebrate you this weekend! Happy happy happy 19th birthday Sophie Becca!

A hard goodbye. Tomorrow, my world changes a bit. The one who has come to most of the summer practices even when her days were over, the one who has been at my house more times than we can count, the one who was doing tucks in Old Navy, the one who I had to bribe to talk to me when she was in elementary school…..tomorrow, she will move 10 hours away to chase her college cheer dreams… and while my heart is bursting with pride, it’s also breaking. 💙📣
I’ve had the privilege of coaching her in some form most of her entire life…whether she wanted me to or not….watching her grow from a shy, fiesty little girl into a fierce, beautiful, talented young woman. She’s been like my own. She’s been my sidekick, my laughter on the hardest days, my helper in every way, and one of my most favorite parts for the last 18 years.
She has been part of every chapter of our story — on the sidelines, in the stands, at our kitchen table, and in our everyday life. I can’t imagine my days without her. She’s helped me coach, make up routines, work with other programs. She has spent so many hours with AK and Emmy.
Letting her go is pretty tough but this is what she’s been preparing for. She’s ready. She’s so talented. She’s chasing the life God has called her to.
So go on Sophie Becca, go chase every dream, every moment, every blessing. And remember, no matter how far you fly, I’m just a phone call away!

I love you so big.
