Washington Leadership Conference 2026

There are just some things that you’ll never forget and WLC is one of them. Not only was I blessed enough to meet FFA members from across the Commonwealth, but from all across the country. From touring the Capitol of the greatest country in the world to learning how to lead others selflessly, WLC made a bigger impact on me than I ever thought possible.

A big thank you to the Gatton Foundation as well as Kentucky FFA for making this trip possible!

My heart is so full after an unforgettable week at WLC.

I came in excited, but I’m leaving with friendships, memories, and lessons that I’ll carry with me for a lifetime. It was so special getting to reconnect with old friends while making so many new ones. It’s amazing how people who were strangers just a few days ago can end up meaning so much.

I’m so grateful for my roommates! Thank you for all the memories we have created in such a short amount of time! I am also so grateful for my community group! Thank you for showing me that there is such passionate people in this world that want to make a difference! (Which I unfortunately don’t have a picture of 😔)
The best part of WLC was the people. I met some of the most genuine and inspiring leaders and facilitators, and I know each of you is going to make an incredible impact on the world. I’m so thankful our paths crossed.

Thank you, WLC, for helping me grow as a leader and for giving me memories and friendships I’ll always cherish. 🫶🏽

Some dreams take a little longer to reach.

Ever since I was a freshman in high school, attending the Washington Leadership Conference has been at the top of my FFA bucket list. I never imagined i’d get the opportunity, until I saw that there was a bus trip available for little to no cost, and any Kentucky FFA member could apply. From that moment on, I knew I had to go.

This week has given me so much more than just a trip to Washington, D.C. It gave me new friendship from around the country, unforgettable memories, and a renewed passion for serving others and leading with passion. WLC challenged me to grow in ways i’d never expected, and i’m coming home inspired to make a difference in my chapter and my community.

A huge thank you to the Bill Gatton Foundation and Kentucky FFA for making opportunities like this possible. Your generosity opened a door so many students, including me, only dreamed of walking through. I will always be so grateful for this experience! For one final time, WLC why are we here? To do what we can, with what we have, where we are! 💙💛

For the past year, I had the amazing opportunity to serve the Mississippi FFA Association as the State Vice President. Throughout this journey, I met some incredible people who quickly became more than friends, they became family. From the laughs, long conversations, and memories made on the road to the unwavering support from my family, advisors, and friends back home, this year has truly been one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences of my life.

This week I spent my last time in my blue jacket. I’ll always remember the memories spent and times had. I can imagine my life with out but I must go on. FFA has become such a great part of my life and I hope to carry it on. Thank you to everyone I met and all the friends I made. I appreciate everyone of yall so much. I wouldn’t have kept going if it wasn’t for yall. Thank yall so much

My Home 💙💛

For the past year I had the honor to serve as Mississippi’s Junior State Vice President. Although my FFA story will still go on, the journey I’ve been through already has been worthwhile and is only the beginning. This blue jacket and my 2025-2026 team will always be with me and my home.
