A little late but, hey better late than never! Some photos from JJWL San Diego. Taking home the gold at home is always the best feeling. A reminder that in a tougher than normal year, it's not about the Ls or the Ws and about the journey itself. The friends, relationships, coaches, hours of sweat and yes sometimes blood...but it's also about the palm trees, the ocean and the breeze that only San Diego brings. Love and respect for the home town #foreversandiego

Thank you to everyone in Victoria's life, to her friends, followers, teammates old and new, her coaches, to @alliancebjjsandiego and @10thplanetoceanside for being our home base for the hard work that goes into this.

Thank you to @gaidama.usa for the most amazing gear and for being in our corner and supporting this journey. The best gear and the most beautiful 🦊🩷

Private lessons have been picking up momentum! I’ve been enjoying the challenge and the privilege of spending extra time on the mat with these students… I see their growth day in and day out, as humans and as champions. So proud of them all!

I went 1–2 yesterday at the DREAM BJJ Competition .

One win.Two losses.

And no… I didn’t make the podium.

No medal. No spotlight moment. Just a mix of emotions I’m still trying to sort out.

I had my hand raised once—and for a moment, it felt like everything clicked.

Then I got tested.

I got caught. I got put in positions I couldn’t get out of. I faced things I wasn’t ready for… yet.

And that’s the part people don’t always talk about.

Because in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, progress doesn’t always look like having one's hand raise or a medal.

Sometimes it looks like almost. Sometimes it looks like one step forward, two steps back.

But here’s what I’m holding onto:

I proved I can win. And I discovered exactly where I need to grow.

That’s real.

That’s honest.

That’s where the work begins.

It’s easy to celebrate when everything goes right—but this?

This is where I decide who I’m becoming.

So yeah, no podium today.

But I showed up. I fought. I learned.

And I’m not done.
