What is feeling? Sensation? Emotion? Love? 85 years from now, these concepts are nothing more than a faint memory. INSATIABLE takes place in a future where a revolutionary technology (the CHIP) has spread desensitization. Washing our society clean of the “evils” of passion, pleasure, and feeling. Two young med students stumble upon the secrets of the elite, and curiosity wriggles its way through their souls. This piece is an experiment in the intersection of the post-dramatic, narrative structure, and experimental dance. Working from and around a script, breaking a standard narrative, we will devise movement following the themes of: censorship, love, power, trauma, sex education, and queer relationships.
