DAY 2 / 3

Day 2 started in the dark again.

Pretty early on I could tell my body was asking for more than I was used to. By the time I got to @_mr.ayala_ place in Carp I had already gone through most of the gels I brought with me, and the fatigue was showing up way earlier than I expected.

And I still had Ojai ahead of me.

At some point I could feel myself getting weak and knew I needed food ASAP. We stopped at a market, grabbed some extra food, and kept moving. I came into the week with a plan, but Day 2 was already showing me how different things felt once the miles started stacking up.

On the way back toward Santa Monica, I knew I needed something more substantial. A burrito stop ended up being exactly what I needed. Some real food, a little time off the bike, and I started coming back around.

179 miles.

Day 3 was exactly what it needed to be. 47 easy miles, a coffee stop, and not much else. Recovery w/ @sophiegoldb

Todavía me emociona ver este jersey en rides, carreras, cafes y lugares que nunca imaginé.

Lo que más me gusta no es el jersey en sí, sino las personas, amistades, y conexiones que se formaron alrededor.
