This week while Stella and I were in Dallas helping my Mom move, our little man Walter let us know it was time to go. We had never had a small dog before, but we got him because @sophsisson said she wanted a dog “who is little, like me.” Walter became part of our family when he was five months old after he was left by the side of the road, and, as he was born to be cuddled in the lap of anyone around him, we were determined to give him all the love we could. He achieved Most Improved in his puppy training class, loved his tennis ball and to dig in the sand furiously while barking at it, and became a great fan of kayaking and paddle boarding later in life. As the 1000+ pictures on my phone testify and as one of our good friends put it, he never spared any opportunity to be completely adorable. We are so grateful for the time to have loved him, for the love we got back, and we will always miss our very good boy. ❤️🫶🐕
