you are in control of the narrative…

It’s so easy to blame external factors or outside influences for our behaviors. The truth of the matter is, everything good, bad, right, wrong, true and false stems from our own actions and reactions to the decisions we make

granted there are predisposed sensations/experiences we must navigate - but the way we wear our struggle in moments is actually art in itself

the way we walk through life and wear pain as armor is part of the human journey, how we teach, how we listen, how we heal…

in an effort to be heard while also being honest, an artist is the one who truly decides what emotions are felt in a story

but since everyone is an artist as long as anything can be appreciated as art, it’s important to realize that in this process you always have control of what you want the narrative to be

become aware of the art you could create by merely existing true to who you are meant to be

why does an artist make art?

a few months ago I asked myself a question that required me to answer it in the only way I knew how

spiritual isolation and sensual creation

through solitude, I reconnected with why I create and noticed a deep struggle

it felt like there was a war on art

even though everyone is constantly making and consuming mediums… the soul feels misguided at times

paintings without frames, words without meaning, stories without morals… art for attention and not emotion

I know my place in the game and it’s to never have the way I want to create change because of the world around me…

It’s my job to change the world around me with my creations

I promise to keep the essence of an artist at the crux of every message I make for I believe that arts purpose is truly encapsulated in moments like this - a rebellious reshape of expression against common forms of understanding

I am an artist having a human experience

and that is the theme for my upcoming album,
