#TheWellProject at #2026USCHA with our team, community advisory board members, and friends! First, booth setup! @o_g_ford has mastered it! 🎖️ That was important because we spent many, many hours in the exhibit hall sharing our printed resources with those who passed by. These resources range all the way from aging and HIV to supporting women’s whole health. They are all free and available for order on our website, www.thewellproject.org. Language Matters in HIV Care and Prevention: Results from a Community-Based Survey Among Women and Nonbinary Adults Living with HIV workshop! The crowd was engaged and listened as we discussed the impact of language in healthcare settings. This conversation could have gone on for hours. You can find more information at bit.ly/HIVLanguageMatters We got many visits from our longtime friends and colleagues. Assessing Parents’ Priorities for Postpartum Education and Support: Strategies to Address Identified Gaps was another powerful workshop. We lead this conversation based on the results from a needs assessment we conducted amongst community members, where they identified the gaps that most need to be addressed. Our very own community advisory board member, Ashley, leading the conversation! More resources and smiles. Not enough chocolate left! On the way to a meeting! All smiles and hugs! From Evidence to Implementation: The RISE Framework for HIV-Inclusive Feeding Policy, Practice, and Healthy Equity workshop. Bridgette and Ci Ci shared ideas with attendees about how to this framework a practical reality. Challenges and wins were shared and relationships were curated.

As HIV physician and researcher Shema Tariq, PhD, FRCP, reassures her patients who may be experiencing changes of menopause: "Starting hormone treatment is very, very different than antiretroviral therapy." @drshematariq breaks down the ways that menopause hormone therapy is more flexible and forgiving than a daily HIV med regimen in this month's #TransitionTuesday video clip. The final Tuesday of each month is our time for demystifying, learning about, and celebrating #menopause and related life transitions for women and other people living with #HIV who have menstruated. We'll be back with another in October! Learn more: bit.ly/WomenAgingPositively #womenlikeus #agingpositively #womenempoweringwomen #transitiontuesdays

It wouldn’t be a successful USCHA if I didn’t come home sick! 😩😂 My week consisted of a podcast interview, 3 workshops, booth duty in the exhibit hall, networking, multiple dinners, mending relationships, dancing, and of course, being CUTE! Conversations with Kim was DEFINITELY in the building! We showed up, showed out, made connections, strengthened relationships, and made our presence known! Now, if y’all need me, I’ll be somewhere resting, recovering, and minding my business before I pop back out on y’all once again. Because trust me, we are JUST getting started! #conversationswithkim #USCHA2026 #communityleadership #hivadvocacy #restisnecessary

PWN-USA members spoke on or led over 38 sessions, actions, and plenaries at #USCHA2026. Though some might have been exhausted by the work, we were reinvigorated and reminded of our purpose: To empower our community and build a future where we all prosper. The political determinants of health informed our conversations while MIPA grounded our every action. And joy was with us at every turn The road ahead is tough. But we’re tougher. Watch this space to see the collaborations and strategies that came out of our conversations in Southern California. #HIVResist

Centering pleasure and affirming sexuality are not just an accessory in healthcare; this approach has been shown to have beneficial effects on women's health and well-being. In spite of this, there remain significant barriers to incorporating #pleasure-based approaches into women's healthcare. In response to these, we are excited to release: 𝙄𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙚 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙛 | 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙭𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙃𝙄𝙑: 𝙊𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣. For years The Well Project has hosted conversations, developed materials, forged partnerships, and engaged in other actions championing sex-positivity and pleasure. To promote connection among pleasure advocates across disciplines and explore solutions centering the expertise of women living with #HIV across the gender spectrum, we convened "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗦𝗲𝘅𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗜𝗩," a facilitated virtual discussion, in April 2026. We are deeply grateful to all who brought their voices, perspectives, and bold visions to the table! Today we are proud to release 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗳 – the latest offering to emerge from that convening. Take a look ↪ bit.ly/Pleasure-Issue-Brief
