If you’re gonna cook up on the mooring, tying the kitchen up to the dining room is definitely the move.

What a shell of a good time at @nantucketshellfish’s first-ever Scallopalooza at @ciscobrewers!
We had a blast celebrating scalloping season with our amazing community — all while raising funds for the NSA’s youth programs and education.

Here’s to the next generation getting out on the water, learning, and loving it!

This place is special. People are chomping at the bit for an excuse to get up and get after it.

If memory and stories serve me, it has been about 8 years since the ponds have frozen on Nantucket.

8 years of these niche little boats collecting dust in basements and barns.

But as soon as temps drop, people spring to action. Even if there is only one good day on the ice, people rally just to take the most advantage of the unique conditions.

Ice boats were something I’d heard rumors of, stories from the old days. The days when the entire harbor would freeze and people taking sailing on the ice from town all the way to Wauwinet.

Seeing them in person, a joy. Seeing the joy and excitement of a community who enjoys the elements, regardless of what they may be, a gift.
