TJizzle!!! 🗣️ Man oh man. We’ve been talking about you turning 40 for years!! I’m supposed to be on FaceTime with you right now asking you what’s this year’s theme.

I’ve been in freeze mode since I received that call. Not wanting to accept that my best friend is no longer physically here.

People say men and women can’t be friends but I know this to be untrue because TJ and I had a true friendship I will forever cherish. He was more than a friend. He was my brother.

We both come from large, close knit families. When you move away from home, you have to create your own tribe. I am fortunate to have had TJ as a part of mine.

TJ accepted me for me. I could always be myself, unapologetically without judgement. He was one of very few people who I trusted to hold space for me as I often do for others. He was someone I could talk to about any subject. We understood each other.

The most supportive person I know. Showed up for everyone in his circle. He had advice for days…whether you wanted it or not. 😆 It always came from a great place of wanting us to all evolve and reach our highest potential.

The first couple of years of our friendship felt like inner child healing for each of us in our small crew. We all had life changing moments then we started tapping into our creative gifts, finding joy through nature and childlike wonder and discovering ourselves. I believe that’s why it feels like we’ve been friends forever.

The evolution from 2017 until now has been a beautiful journey to witness. From the spiritual awakening to fulfilling your ultimate goal of having a wife and a family of your own. I’m so happy I got to be by your side as a groomswoman to witness your dream come true.

As sad as I am that we don’t get to be two old buddies, dancing and being silly like we always joked about, I know you are somewhere traveling through the dimensions having a blast.

The Soul Lifter. You did just that. You fulfilled your purpose.

Thank you for everything BFF. I miss you. I love you.

LEGENDS NEVER DIE!Heavy heart with an even heavier mind. I’ve been in a daze these past few weeks, reflecting on how precious life is and how everything can change in a second.
My brother, creative pioneer and forever a N.E.P.H.E.W advocate. The first TV producer to put me on a nationally televised commercial campaign. And ironically, over the past two years, we had the chance to collaborate & work back-to-back, bringing innovative and impactful productions to life for EBONY. Your ideas, your work ethic, and your ability to juggle multiple projects- building a clothing line, creating shows, producing music, all while navigating family and personal life was legendary in its own right. A Man with a heart of Gold!
Per our powerful dialogues, we’re going to keep your soul-lifter energy alive and KEEP WALKING ON WATER.

We honor a trusted teammate, and a creative force whose presence shaped our work and our days in ways words can barely hold. TJ was a dedicated member of our Integrated Production team and a gifted producer who was thoughtful, dependable, and deeply committed to his craft. He showed up with integrity, led with heart, and brought care and intention into everything he did.

A proud Miles College alumnus, Class of 2012, TJ was a dedicated member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Gamma Kappa Chapter.

Above all, TJ was a devoted father, a loving husband, and a cherished friend. As you swipe, you’ll see reflections from those who had the privilege of working alongside him — words that speak to his impact, his kindness, and the legacy he leaves behind. Though his time with us was far too short, his spirit, his work, and the love he poured into this community will continue to live on through all of us.

We remember you.

We are deeply saddened to learn of our most recent podcast guest @soullifter1 passing away this week 🕊️
