BLACK AND GOLD✨🖤 I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to put my own special flair on such dedicated and professional dancers for this show. I knew I wanted to make a piece that combines my love of showgirl embodiment and ZTHEORY technique. I am so proud of the work my dancers put into learning my movement, dealing with a tricky costume/ prop and helping me stay grounded throughout the whole creation process. I am endlessly grateful for this community that continues to show up for each other 🖤 Thank you to @souloutshowcase for having us on your stage. It was an honor to be amongst such talented artists! Thank you to @novameowmeow for helping to create my sparkly showgirl costumes! ✨I could not have done this without you! And finally, thank you to my dancers! Not only am I proud of the effort you put into making this piece stunning, but I consistently felt uplifted by each of you in rehearsals and saw you uplift each other. You are my reminder that we are humans first, dancers second. And what inspiring and magnetic humans you are ✨ Dancers: Anna Hicks | @annaeldridgehicks April Kimmel | @april_kimmel Audrey Gibson | @audreyeg Flo Boots | @floboots Ieva Bračiulytė | @_ievab_ Janita Leung | @janitaleung Madison Mayfield | @madisonerinmayfield Miranda Deguzman | @mirandakatte Tamber Dancer | @tamberdancer_official Venise Lee | @veneeese 🎵: “Black and Gold” by @brennawhitaker
