Friday's opening for 'Home Studies' was a family affair 💛

We're still astounded at how we ended up in the Hudson Valley, surrounded by such a fun and supportive group of creative folks. A heartfelt thanks to all those who came out to celebrate Chris and Nino. For those that haven't seen the show yet, it's a truly remarkable project that's a feast for the eyes and a salve for the soul. We hope you'll come visit soon.

Hi friends! Chad and Kristin here. We haven’t shown our faces in a while (largely because we’re so bad at taking photos 😅) but wanted to put a face to the name for those we haven’t met in person yet.

This photo was taken by @grantgulla at the opening for SENSE OF PLACE - our collaborative project with Amin Tadj Studio that officially wrapped up yesterday.

After spending the past three months at Ohayo Mountain House, it really started to feel like a second home. One with modern sensibilities that still managed to be warm and intimate. Even our dog, Evie, loved it (see slide two 😂).

@amintadj you are a true visionary and we feel incredibly lucky for the chance to work with you and @shahab_h_f on this project. Hopefully more to come on that front!

For anyone interested in the incredible works featured in the exhibition, the checklist is available on our website.

For those interested in calling this gem of a house home, it is still on the market through @anatolehouse.

Chad Phillips and Kristin Coleman spent years operating at the center of design culture in New York City before moving upstate. Now, they cultivate a design scene beyond the city through their shop @available_items—and more recently, their exhibition “Sense of Place.” In “Taste and Placemaking in the Hudson Valley,” Alex T. Williams asks them how.

Our hearts are full from an enchanting evening at Ohayo Mountain House celebrating the opening of SENSE OF PLACE*.

Thank you @amintadj for giving us this incredible opportunity and to all of the designers and artists for believing in this project. It was a labor of love but we are immensely proud of the results and the beautiful symbiosis between well-crafted objects and thoughtfully designed architecture. We are constantly blown away by the amount of talented folks in our orbit and are profoundly grateful to call the Hudson Valley home.

Thank you @grantgulla for capturing the moment, @cheeselouiseny for the delicious spread and @deweyswines for the delightful vino!

*no white couches were harmed in the making of this event 😅
