I used to be so ashamed of being a people pleaser. Like it was something I needed to fix or apologize for.

But the more I’ve grown, the more I’ve realized I’m surrounding myself with people I can actually learn from. The ones who challenge how I think, who show me a different way to move through the world.

Leslie is one of those people for me. He made me think differently about things I thought I already had figured out. And that’s the thing about the people you keep close, they end up becoming your biggest teachers and your biggest inspirations, even when you don’t realize it’s happening in the moment.

So if you feel ashamed of being a people please like I was. I hope this made you think differently just like Leslie did.

Here’s the TRUTH 👇

When I was growing up, I was incredibly introverted. If you know me now, that would probably be very surprising. I had such a hard time talking to people, and I lived in my head all the time. I was a loner in elementary school, and when I look back on when my confidence started flourishing, it’s when the right people found me 🥹. It all started when my best friend came up to me in science class and started talking to me.

Although a lot of the people who make me feel this way aren’t in this video, looking back, it had a lot to do with the people around me supporting me, telling me right from wrong, and letting me shine.

💭 What is the feeling, you may ask? It’s when you feel like yourself, you don’t hold back on what you want to say, and you don’t feel judged. And most importantly, you have fun.

💛So my question to you is, who do you surround yourself with, and do they make you feel this way?
