MISSION MOMENT MONDAY
Meet Liesa Baldwin CEO/Owner of
South Mobile Bar
Ms. Baldwin is also a Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis Sycamore View Club Alumni.
For our 2025 Thanksgiving dinner she provided some amazing Mocktails for our families and guests. Ms. Liesa also took the time to talk to a couple of the members letting them know about her times at the club.
Thank you so much for everything it really meant alot. Take a look at a couple questions and her inspiration to starting her own business.
What grade were you in when you joined the Boys & Girls Club?
I was in the 10th grade when I joined the B&G Club
Did you have a mentor at the club when you attended? If yes share the name.
Yes, Mr.Douglas
What’s something you learned while attending the club?
I learned how to work as team work, as well as how to adapt to ideas & opinions outside of my own.
What’s a memory you will always cherish at the club?
The fun trips we would take especially to the wilderness camp & Washington DC are my favorite memories ! We were gifted huge suitcases that I still have til this day. I really enjoyed traveling with my friends & creating new memories.
If you could give a message to the next generation of club members what would that be.
Always strive to be curious and compassionate. Embrace learning as a lifelong journey and remember that your actions not only impact but also those around you. Treat people with kindness and respect, because your character defines your true success. Never underestimate the power of understanding and connection.
What’s your biggest Inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is my mother Kimberly. She raised me with unwavering dedication and strength, often juggling multiple responsibilities to provide the best life she could. Although we didn’t always see eye to eye, I admired the way she carried herself with grace and dignity. Looking back, I truly appreciate everything she has done for me and the invaluable life lessons she instilled in me. Her resilience and hard work have shaped who I am today, and I am forever grateful for her love and guidance.
Who was your Role Model growing up?
My mother.
Let us know about your Business?
