Never did I imagine that I (the most unathletic person I know) would be celebrated at a sports team senior night… well here we are! 4 years with @dhsdiamondgirls and each year better than the one before! As the games slowly end, I sure will miss spending nights and hot hot Saturdays watching and photographing baseball. NOW onto Auburn baseball!!! ⚾️💜🌻

Daphne looking to set the tone from the trenches 🏈⚔️🟣💪
Experienced playmakers will return all over the field for the 2024 Trojans but head coach Kenny King, a defensive lineman who played at Alabama and in the NFL, will look to the big guys in the trenches to set the tone for Daphne. Two of them, Marquaes Lambert and Jacob Luna, joined him in previewing the season at Gulf Coast Media Day and both confirmed the locker room was ready for action.
“Everybody wants to get after it,” Lambert said. “Everybody has a goal in mind, I feel like we’re very motivated this year.”
“We’re ready to work and still have a good time doing it,” Luna said.

Volleyball’s time to shine 🏐🎥💪🏆
Teams from Baldwin and Mobile Counties stepped into the spotlight during Wednesday’s media day to preview their upcoming seasons. Daphne High School hosted the event that featured local squads including Fairhope, Bayside Academy, Spanish Fort, Baldwin County and Elberta as well as teams from across the Bay including McGill-Toolen, Saraland, Blount, UMS-Wright, Mobile Christian and St. Luke’s.
The Yellow Jackets of McGill-Toolen enter the season as defending state champions for the third time in the last seven years. McGill has been to at least the state semifinals all 10 years so far under head coach Kate Wood.
And for the first time in 23 years, the Bayside Academy Admirals will not enter the season as defending state champions after they fell in the Class 6A semifinals. Head coach Ann Schilling and the Admirals will still step up to Class 7A with their 21st-consecutive state title their first year in 6A.
Bayside Academy spent only two years in Class 4A, 5A and now 6A due to the AHSAA’s competitive balance factor. The Admirals will branch off with Fairhope, Foley and Robertsdale to create an all-Baldwin Class 7A Area 3. Daphne will remain in a three-team Area 2 with Davidson and McGill-Toolen.
Baldwin County teams including Bayshore Christian (2A Area 1), Orange Beach (4A Area 1) and Gulf Shores (5A Area 1) will join Bayside (6A Area 2) in entering this year as defending area champions. Elberta (5A), Spanish Fort (6A) and Fairhope (7A Area 2) punched tickets to the South Super Regionals last year as area runners-up. The Central Christian Saints also made noise with the program’s first Panhandle Christian Conference championship since 2012.

Inaugural Daphne Alumni Camp considered a success ⚔️🏈🐸✍️
Former Trojan football players reunited to teach skills and technique to young student-athletes on the Eastern Shore Saturday morning. Powered by the Trent Battle Foundation, the current TCU Horned Frog running back said his former teammates brought the energy to help coach up 98 campers through the heat. After the on-field lessons, the Daphne alumni interacted with the young athletes off the field and signed autographs before cooling down with some Kona Ice. Navy slotback Tyler Bradley and Delta State running back Nick Clark agreed with Battle on how great it was to be around their former teammates and give back to the community that had helped them reach their goals. Head to the link in our bio for the full scoop!
