From Digital Creator to Emmy Award Winner? YES, IT’S POSSIBLE! 🎥 @msveofficial

Media Girls Network teamed up with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) Southeast Chapter for our How to Win an Emmy: Digital Creators Edition Mixer, and the room was filled with knowledge, connections, and inspiration!

We brought together digital creators, producers, filmmakers, journalists, and media professionals for an evening of candid conversations about Emmy eligibility, the submission process, and what it really takes to position your work for one of television’s highest honors.

Our goal? To bridge the gap between independent creators and major industry opportunities while making sure our community knows that THERE IS ROOM FOR US! 💫

A huge THANK YOU to the Southeast Emmy team, our guests, partners, and everyone who showed up ready to learn, connect, and elevate their craft.

This is what happens when we create access, build relationships, and open doors for the next generation of storytellers.

More access. More opportunities. More Emmy-worthy stories. 🏆

✨ An evening of connection, creativity, and new possibilities!

Tonight, I had the opportunity to attend the “How to Win an Emmy: Digital Creators Edition Mixer,” hosted in partnership with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Southeast Chapter and Media Girls Network.

As a podcaster, storyteller, and advocate, I believe that media is more than creating content. It’s about using our voices, sharing meaningful stories, building connections, and creating opportunities for conversations that can lead to real change.

I came tonight with an open mind, a notebook, and a willingness to learn. I wanted to listen, gather insights, connect with other creatives, and better understand what it takes to grow as a digital creator while continuing to create work that has purpose.

Through Outreach With Reggie, my goal has never been simply to be seen or heard. It has been to amplify voices, bring attention to important issues, and remind people that their stories matter.

I’m grateful for opportunities like this that challenge me to keep learning, keep creating, and keep growing. I’m excited to take what I learned tonight and apply it to the work ahead.

Here’s to meaningful connections, intentional storytelling, and using our platforms for something bigger than ourselves. 🎙️

Oh what a night!

I’m still wrapping my brain around this tremendous honor - to be inducted into the prestigious Southeast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences “Silver Circle”.

Joining the company of so many respected and accomplished industry professionals blows me away. And the number of people who helped me get here over the last couple of decades is far too great to list here. But I am so grateful.

To family, colleagues past and present, managers who believed in me, and viewers who have trusted me - THANK YOU. I’ll never stop trying to live up to what this recognition means.

A wonderful night celebrating the Gold & Silver Circle honorees at the The EMMY Awards - Southeast ✨🏆 with our incredible Master of Ceremonies my friend and @wsbtv news anchor @fredblankenship
It was especially meaningful to celebrate two dear friends and true legends in our television community.
Congratulations to our very own WATC TV 57 President, Greg West on his induction into the Silver Circle, honoring more than 25 years of dedication and excellence in the television industry. So well deserved my sweet friend.

Thank you @italymichael for helping me submit his name and accolades for this amazing honor!

And what a joy to celebrate Atlanta’s own @evelynmimsatl honored with the prestigious Gold Circle Award for an incredible 50 years of service to the television industry. Evelyn served as President of @southeastemmy during the entire eight years I was privileged to serve on the Board of Governors, and she has truly been the heart and soul of our entire television community. Is truly beloved by all!

So many wonderful memories, friendships, and familiar faces in one room. Here are a few highlights from a very special evening! 📸✨
