Last minute me and @southernprerunner decided to drive through the night 12 hours to go to @hotrodmagazine Roadkill nights! Definitely worth that 24 hours in the car. Got to see some cars I have watched for a long time. It’s always a pleasure to talk to @davidfreiburger and talk to @finnegan999 about some Tig welding before my next welding school semester starts! 2nd year in a row at roadkill nights and it always a blast! 10/10 recommend if you are on the fence on going.

This is a heavily built Toyota Tacoma pre-runner, #31, and it’s set up to dominate off-road.
Build Summary: Toyota Tacoma #31 “SouthernPreRunner”
Base & Style
• Platform: Toyota Tacoma double cab with vintage Toyota Racing livery - white base with red/yellow gradient stripes
• Race number: 31 on roof and windshield banner
• Aesthetic: Baja/Trophy truck inspired with exposed suspension, wide fenders, and aggressive stance
Key Mods Visible in Photos
• Suspension: Long-travel setup with King-style coilovers, red anodized components. Sits high with massive wheel travel - you can see it catching air and flexing on dirt
• Armor: Full tube front bumper with skid plate, LED light bar, and triple round off-road pods. Likely fabricated
• Wheels/Tires: Beadlock wheels with red rings, gold centers, wrapped in aggressive M/T tires. Looks like 35”+ rubber
• Lighting: Amber DRLs, roof-mounted light bar, and bumper-mounted LEDs for night runs
• Other: Roof rack, spare tire in bed, tinted windows
Terrain Capability
You’ve got it running in dirt, snow, mud, pavement, and full send jumps. This is a true all-season pre-runner built for abuse, not mall crawling.
Sponsor Integration
Based on the sponsors you listed:
• Blazeoffroad: Likely handled the fabrication - front bumper, suspension work, or cage components
• YESWELDER: Welding equipment used for the custom fab work on bumpers, mounts, or chassis reinforcement
• Klearsbykai: Custom headlight/DRL builds - those amber signature lights aren’t stock
• Ozarkwindowtint: Window tint visible on the truck, keeping it clean and reducing glare for desert/snow runs
This truck is “Built Not Bought” energy. It’s a showpiece that actually gets used - snow, jumps, dirt trails. SouthernPreRunner branding suggests it’s a content/race rig.
