Looking for a road group ride in Cape Town but have no idea where to start? I’ve got you 🚴🏼‍♀️👇🏼

I get DMs almost daily weekly where to find group road rides in different parts of Cape Town… so I had to put them all in one post 🤭

Save this for your next ride and send it to someone looking for a cycling community! 🫶🏼

In my next post I’ll share some off-road groups 👀🚵‍♀️

Please remember: ride details are always changing, so check the club’s latest update before joining. And if I’ve missed your favourite group, tag them below! 👇🏼

Six unforgettable weeks in Japan. One incredible whirlwind adventure 🇯🇵✨

A country where rich culture and age-old traditions meet modern technology, with vibrant cities and breathtaking natural beauty side by side.

This experience and country will forever hold a close place in my heart.

I will be sharing more of experience on here so stay tuned. 🫶

So grateful to @southsidecycles_ and @expeditionedu_ for making this possible.

I may be back sooner than you think 👀🇯🇵✨

Discovering quickly that the freehub is louder than the thoughts in my head. 🤩🫪✌🏼
And even my happiest days are made better with time in the saddle.
Turns out the best therapy is to just keep the chain tight, keep pushing yourself and find the people you want to do it alongside. 🌻 Also, LIVester Stallone is a great listener. 🚲🫦

Nobody warned me how spoiled I’d get riding here 🥺

Empty roads winding through rice paddies, alpine climbs that dump you straight into an onsen and vending machines full of electrolytes (pocari sweat 🤌🤌🤌).

Pictured are Niseko, Furano and Hakuba 🫶

Japan exceeded my expectations 🚴🏻‍♀️🇯🇵

One bike case. 3 outfits. 6 weeks in Japan 🇯🇵🚴🏻‍♀️

A little behind the scenes from the start of a very big Japan adventure and proof that I may have be very optimistic in how many outfits a person can rewear for six weeks 😂

A huge shoutout to @sciconsports for keeping my bike safe all the way from Cape Town to Tokyo in my Evolution X TSA bike case. As a first-time international bike traveller, that peace of mind was everything.

Next up: Tokyo, Niseko, bikes, race week, new food, big luggage and plenty more adventure.

Stay tuned for episode 2 🎬

These pics really do show why I love racing bikes. 🥹👐

April memories of the Otto1890 Weekend Warrior Grabouw @weekend_warriormtb ! I had so much fun at this two day stage race earlier this year. @redcherryevents_za somehow always managed to blend good humour, fun and competitiveness into one event! Even the pouring rain could not keep us from enjoying ourselves and hitting the trails. 🌧️

I learnt so much racing @magan_hanekom and @callysilberbauer. It was an extra treat to finish 3rd on GC after the two days. 🥉

This event lit a spark in me to want to race more mtb and I look forward to this challenge when I am back out there. 🚵

The next @weekend_warriormtb is in October in Lourensford and I have no doubt it will be another weekend to remember. Use my code layla10 for an entry discount. 🪩💃

Photos by @maxsullimedia and @redcherryevents_za and moi! 🤳
