👩🏼‍🌾MISCONCEPTION MONDAY👩🏼‍🌾

Happy National Farmers Day!!!
Heels or boots, a crown or a cowboy hat… not every farmer fits into the same pair of overalls! Because the future of agriculture doesn’t have just one look, and that’s what makes it so beautiful.

So grateful for the opportunity to cultivate change in the lives of young agriculturalists!

Today @sowsisters.ua had the opportunity to partner with @schoolyardroots to clean up the school garden at Flatwoods Elementary. It was an incredible way to be hands on in the agriculture industry while also fulfilling our mission of service within the community.

My favorite part of the day was when the students walked by and asked what we were doing. I replied in simple terms “making your garden prettier for you and your future veggies!” They all screamed yay out of excitement and it melted all of our hearts. To see their love for their garden is truly inspiring and I am grateful to be apart of opportunities that connect students to the industry that feeds us everyday.

Swipe to the end to see how much debris we collected ;)

You DON’T have to grow up on a farm to have a future in agriculture!

Agriculture is for EVERYONE, no matter your background. At Sow Sisters, we’re here to learn, grow and empower women to find their place in the industry.

Always remember: You don’t have to know, you just have to GO!

Don’t judge your produce by it’s cover! An odd shape, size, or look doesn’t make produce less nutritional or delicious. Difference doesn’t mean defective. I truly believe there is beauty in produce that look unique 💕

MISCONCEPTION MONDAY🍅👩🏼‍🌾🌾

We’ve all heard the stereotypes, but they don’t tell the full story.

The truth? More than 1 in 3 agricultural producers in the United States are women. We aren’t just participating in agriculture, we’re leading, innovating, producing, and helping feed the world every single day.

At Sow Sisters, we’re here to challenge misconceptions, celebrate women in agriculture, and inspire the next generation to know they belong in this industry.

What’s the biggest agriculture misconception you’ve heard? Drop it in the comments and I may feature it in my next Misconception Monday!

Throwback to @sowsisters.ua first club meeting! 💕🌾

What a privilege it has been to watch this organization grow into a community of women who share a passion for agricultural education and advocating for the future of our industry.

Seeing these girls come together to learn about different sectors of agriculture, starting with floriculture, has been incredibly rewarding. But what has meant the most are the conversations afterward. Girls who grew up in agriculture but never felt they had an outlet to express that part of themselves on campus have come up to thank me for creating a space where they feel seen and understood.

What began as a simple idea has grown into a movement rooted in education, advocacy, and connection. Now spanning two states, Sow Sisters continues to empower and encourage women while sharing the story of agriculture with communities across the country. 🌾💕

Grateful is an understatement. So excited to serve as VP of Outreach for @sowsisters.ua this year alongside such an incredible group of women. Proud to represent an industry and community I love. Can’t wait to see what this year brings! 🤍🌾💕
