Sunday evening was pure magic. It felt so good to be back on stage sharing this music with y’all. Thanks for coming out to celebrate our debut show as a whole new band. The vibes were absolutely flawless. No notes. Thank you @whiteeaglesaloon for having us play again and to Devon for being the dopest sound tech in Portland. You guys rock. On Sunday we shared a brand new tune we’ve been working on called “Honey, Honey” (The Buddha Song)✨ a tribute to the greatest love story of my life. It’s a song about saying goodbye to my soul dog / companion of 15 years and the lasting impact he had on my life. Sharing this song with you guys was a really intimate experience. Thank you for witnessing me so graciously. It was beautiful. Sunday night was perfect. Looking forward to doing sooo much more of this 🗡️ #ryderwolfeandthehunt

POV: you’re running through a dark enchanted forest being chased by a pack of wolves with the moonlight as your only guide when you stumble upon an ancient iron gate covered in ivy. Just beyond the gate lies a secret garden and a blue pool. Chills run up and down your spine. A key appears in your hand; a key that can only be used by you. The wolves are closing in. You have two choices: 1. Stay in what is familiar even tho it’s painful. 2. Take the risk. Open the gate. Enter the unknown. Wyd? #ryderwolfeandthehunt 🥀✨

Next up! Meet our new drummer, Jacob “AKA Goose” 🪿✨ @space0goose (he/him) With a Sagittarius Sun, Virgo Moon, and Cancer Rising, Goose is equal parts wanderer, perfectionist, and caretaker. He’s always chasing the next adventure, endlessly dialing in his craft, and somehow manages to keep the heartbeat of the band steady through it all. Goose has been playing drums for about 20 years, but it all started with a simple goal: he just wanted to jam in his friends’ bands! So he picked up a pair of sticks, learned everything he could, and never looked back. His musical influences are constantly evolving—just ask him tomorrow and you’ll probably get a different answer. But a few have earned permanent status. Blazing Arrow by Blackalicious is, in his opinion, the greatest hip-hop album ever made (“Sorry, Kendrick.”). Jimi Hendrix is a lifelong favorite because Hendrix’s drummer was his first musical hero. Incubus, JJ Grey & Mofro are forever part of his story after working as their drum tech during a show he’ll never forget. And Bob Marley, along with just about every corner of reggae, is always in rotation. Goose dreams of a round-the-world plane ticket with no real itinerary—just music, new places, and wherever the journey leads. He’s also a self-proclaimed musical “trash panda.” If the groove is good, nothing is off limits. The genre doesn’t matter—if it makes him move, he’s probably already air-drummed to it. Fun fact: before life behind the kit, his weirdest job was crime scene cleanup. It’s a conversation starter… and usually a conversation ender. 😂 We ❤️ you, homie! Welcome to The Hunt! Catch Jacob’s first live show with us on Sunday, August 16th at the White Eagle Saloon here in #pdx ✨ 📸 @be_d_bee #portland #pdxlivemusic #portlandlivemusic #pdxmusic
