POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I PA’d, assisted, held umbrellas, got yelled at to get blue bottle coffees and erewhon juices, drove vans I definitely wasn’t qualified to drive, scraped up the previously mentioned vans in too tight venue garages, lugged gear, set up signs at 330 AM, scraped floors, did overnight shoots for no pay while crashing on couches, slung hot walkie bricks and put in thankless work for five years while failing forward as an actor, cinematographer and editor. I got to see the architecture of filmmaking from a foundational place.

Nothing moves without the crew.

Thank you to all of the departments and your hard work in these Nemesis trenches right here in Los Angeles that made this success possible. It’s because of you that Nemesis is (still) #1 on @netflix 🙏🏾

2016- It was a year of reckoning. Filled with questions that split me open, truths I couldn’t swallow anymore, and seemingly impossible goodbyes. But, for all that the year took (and it took!) it gave. Provided a soft place to land. Surrounded me with beauty and art and people that would become some of the best and truest friends of my life. Offered me a stage. A spotlight. An invitation. Handed me a blank page. A pen. Poetry.

If you want to know the state of my mental health, drop an egg off of the roof of any building and film it in slow motion. There you go. Hope you’re doing better. Let me know.
